A lot can change from one argument. Cozy Glow wanted nothing more but to be somepony else. Anyone else. Instead, she was this little powerless pegasus that did nothing but what her mother demanded... what her mother planned! She was sick of mother's plans. She was sick of her own name! So, the filly took it upon herself to pack her things and run.

She had some family in the Crystal Empire. Perhaps it would do her some good to visit them? Maybe they could understand her issue. Maybe they could help her?

What she didn't know however was that her greatest mistake would be stepping into the Empire itself. After she walked in... she never came back out.
When King Sombra took over and dragged the entire empire along with him down his one thousand year banishment a little filly was caught in the crossfire.

Hearth’s Warming is a time for tradition, for decorating the Hearth’s Warming Tree and drinking hot chocolate and most importantly not telling Discord what you’re up to because of course he’ll want to show up to ‘help’ and before too long the hot chocolate has collapsed into a singularity and everypony’s yelling at each other and then the tree explodes.

Fizzlepop Berrytwist, the mare once known and feared far and wide as Tempest Shadow. But before that, she was just another pony like you or me. As much as she's been wanting to avoid it, not everyone can run from their past forever. Has a way of catching up to you like that. And now Tempest has to face hers, and she returns to her home village to see just what became of her fillyhood friends. And perhaps, just perhaps make a few amends.

The target's name is Fancy Pants. He's rich, he's well-known, and most importantly, he's single. This is going to be a breeze.

There will be a duel, and Discord is more than happy to turn such a rare occurrence into the spectacle it deserves to be. Can Fluttershy, Twilight, and Pinkie help mend the budding friendship between Zecora and Meadowbrook? And what about Discord? Does he wish to fuel the flames of rivalry, or does he have a larger plan in store?

BEFORE YOU READ: This takes place in Calm Wind's Wonderverse, after Piercing the Heavens. It was started before PtH was finished, so some events may turn out different.

Everypony has life goals.

In Spectrum's case, it would be following her parents' hoofsteps and becoming a Wonderbolt.

Unfortunately, life doesn't seem to agree with her. With loads of stress, unwanted attention, an extremely tight schedule, terrible school projects, not to mention an annoying little brother who literally gets in the way of everything she does, can Spectrum Skies overcome all those obstacles and emerge with triumph? Or will the pressure drag her down before she meets her goal?
