This story is a sequel to Starlight Glimmer's Old Logbook

Starlight Glimmer felt pretty awkward sharing her super depressing and psychologically unnerving old logbook with Twilight Sparkle, but it was for the best to give her teacher greater insight into her student.

Now she has left a gift of many scrolls, her new diary entries,
made since she first began learning under Twilight's friendship tutelage.

She hopes that Twilight finds this particular insight a bit more encouraging...
At least, comparatively so!

After defeating the Dazzlings and freeing Canterlot High School from the threat of eternal strife, the girls finally seem to be able to wind down for the winter holidays.

With less than a month left until school lets out, Sunset Shimmer finds herself being followed around by shadowy individuals who know of her otherworldly origins. As the year draws to a close, Sunset's only hope of making sense of it all may be a mysterious new transfer student...one who is very good at avoiding her.

Time has blessed Twilight Sparkle and her friends. As the years have passed, they have achieved dreams, pursued passions, and thrilled in one another's successes. But time has also caused the six ponies to drift apart as their lives begin to lead them in different directions. Now only Twilight is left in Ponyville, and she cannot help but wonder if she has lost a part of herself along with her friends.

But the discovery of a changeling infiltrator incites sudden conflict. Twilight must quickly prepare to repel a second changeling invasion by herself. The others, scattered across Equestria, find themselves under attack as they seek to escape these foes and reunite with their friends. Every familiar face could conceal an enemy, every conversation could be a lie, and each pony must search her own heart as lines blur between appearance and reality, between what a mare does and what she truly is inside.

This story was originally conceived and planned during Season 5, so it does not take into account the finales for Seasons 5 or 6.

In order to improve their skills at detecting changeling infiltrators, Twilight Sparkle and the Council of Friendship ask their new friend Thorax to help them with a little training exercise. Their goal? Figure out which of their six friends is actually Thorax in disguise.

Dialogue heavy, as this story focuses on the cross-interrogation of the game itself.
