I got ran over by a car, and then a fictional character just appears next to me and gives me a second chance.
How am I supposed to react to that?
By serving him. Unfortunately, there are others here, who wish the same. Every living creature calls itself my enemy, often without even looking at my actions beforehand.

"Well maybe not cooler than RainbowDash, but defiantly cooler than most pony's I know.....
Anyways, he has this really cool looking armor that he wears all the time I swear I've never seen him take it off and he is really really tall I mean like maybe even taller than the princess and his sword is unbelievably huge!!"

"What? Oh, right, sorry, you want to know how I found him. Well I was walking home from a long day at school and I found this white rock just sitting on my table and there was a note on it saying it was for me and.....oops sorry l think I may have told a little bit too much. Don't want to spoil the whole adventure for you! You're going to have to read to find out."

If somebody told me I would become my favorite ultra hardcore knight who has walked through the abyss, had a giant grey wolf for a pet, and had a great sword that could drive someone insane just by touching it. I would immediately have punched them in the face and then proceed to drag them to a mental hospital. Now I have become what most Dark Souls players fear, an Abysswalker.

Seath the Scaleless, White Dragon God of Verdite, Traitor to the Everlasting Dragons, Duke of Anor Londo, Grandfather of Sorcery, and now the new friend and mentor to Twilight Sparkle? What will happen when two like-minded souls from opposite ends of the morality spectrum match wits? And what will remain in their wake?

A somewhat more meta twist on a MLP/Dark Souls cross-over, inspired predominantly by a few pictures I found of Seath and Twilight together, and my bewildered discovery that for all of the stories on this site that cover these two franchises, there's only one that focuses on Seath the Scaleless and so far it hasn't seen any updates in over a year ( http://www.fimfiction.net/story/68621/scales for those curious).

For those who haven't played either the King's Field or Dark Souls games worry not. I'll do my best to either explain the lore of both in the story itself, or add an author's notes for anything that gets referenced.

Oscar, Knight of Astora was born with a sliver spoon in his mouth and a honourable crest by his side. His family in Astora wealthy and prideful, though this never corrupted his kind soul and warm spirit. His integrity always put to the test in this harsh, unforgiving world. When Oscar was a child of a tender age all he wanted to do is help the weak and powerless. He always saw this as his highest purpose, though as soon as his parent enrolled him into to "Astora's Elite Knight Academy" Oscar realized that if he became the greatest knight in all of Astora he could be more then a hero.
Though now after all these years Oscar is going to die in a cold, dank cell but what if there is a alternative, A way out from his hollowing and the chance to be truly alive again for as he family says.

Who's to say that the land of Ancient Lords is not Equestria? Follow Oscar on his pilgrimage to find out the fate of all the Undead who come to Equestria.

(Part 1 of the Unfortunate Souls Series)

Artorias. Second in command to the Four Knights of Lord Gwyn. Having trekked the abyss once, and was told once again to, Sif and himself venture to Oolacile, only to find it's inhabitants turned against their will by Manus. After he and Sif venture into the Chasm of the Abyss, Artorias finds himself surrounded by strange creatures. In a desperate attempt, he tries attacking with sword, but it goes through them, he bashes with his shield, and the Abyssal creature destroys his arm. Able to no longer carry the burden of his shield, he gave it to his wolf companion as the Abyss swallows him and changes him...

Not long after, the Chose Undead finds himself triumphant against Artorias, sending the corrupted Knight fading away....
Although, this is not the end of our Abyss walking friend...
