(Final FantasyxMLP) After giving his life to save Cloud, Zack Fair awakes to find himself not lost in the currents of the Lifestream, but rather lying on a cloud in a strange new world.

A world full of colourful creatures called ponies, who have never heard of humans, much less Shinra or SOLDIER.

His appearance, however, marks only the beginning of something none in Equestria could have foreseen. In the shadow of an ongoing war with the changelings, strange, sudden, and cataclysmic events begin to occur throughout Equestria, events that no normal creature could've caused. The nature and ferocity of these events soon comes to suggest only one plausible explanation, that another former SOLDIER may have somehow found their way to the land of ponies.

Zack's former friend, turned powerful god-like enemy, Sephiroth.

Edward Elric's fate has been altered. Little did he know that his decision is just the beginning of another chapter in his life.

Kathranis Shadowsong, Blademaster of a band of refugee elves, finds himself transported into the realm of Equus as the result of a misfired spell. Equus is in a time of strife following the rise of the Royal Pony Sisters over the land of Equestria, and many old nations fear the power of the self-crowned goddesses. Thrown into the mix are a new race of humans, orcs, and elves that find themselves teetering on the edge of war. Follow the elvish ranger as he finds his way through a new world filled with new friends, foes, and even new gods that he finds himself in contest with.

Set before the rise of Nightmare Moon. The opening scene (and some cursory background knowledge) is based loosely on the Haunted Lands trilogy by Richard Lee Byers. I highly recommend the series, as it is one of my favorite D&D reads.

As long as there have been humans, people have disappeared without explanation; and as long as there has been militaries, there have been those who go missing. In 1986 I was one of those who vanished into the land of Equestria. At the time I was flying an F-14 Tomcat with the U.S. Navy's VF-84 fighter squadron. Sergeant Aluma, decorated veteran of the Royal Guard, loses her eyesight in a training accident. As she struggles to cope with her life falling apart around her, she begins to lose all hope for the future. However, after a human is suddenly pulled into the world of Equestria, the mare begins to learn that perhaps her disability doesn't define her. And somewhere down the line, she learns to begin to trust again. And just maybe, she will find something more along the way of self discovery.
