This story is a sequel to Celestia Makes Dinner.
One average afternoon, one average princess, one average town, and one average grocery list... Perhaps it would be best not to explore it.
An ordinary one-shot about innocent Cadance doing perhaps one of the most mundane things... Once more, perhaps it would be best not to explore it.
"I created the Tantabus to give myself the same nightmare every night. To punish myself for the evil I caused as Nightmare Moon.
Luna is forced to face the consequences of keeping her feelings of self-loathing hidden, in the form of her very angry sister.
What is home? And what is love? It took Luna some time, but she knows now.

After the tantibus incident Celestia is less than pleased. She makes Luna write a letter telling her what she's learned from the experience.
Princess Celestia and Twilight are spending there first afternoon in a long time together. Sadly, neither of them knows what to say to the other.

Celestia loves Twilight Sparkle. That is a fact, an indisputable constant of the universe. What that love means, however, is much less certain. The love of a teacher. The love of a friend. The love that Celestia dares not name. Every tick of the clock demands her answer, for while Celestia is timeless, Twilight is not.
Celestia has only a single lifetime to make her decision, but Twilight will wait. She always has, and she always will.

One night a year, on the Eve of the Summer Sun Celebration, Princess Celestia is sad, at least according to Twilight's observations. She has a plan, a boardgame, and is determined to try to cheer up her mentor.

Finally, after years of begging, Celestia gives Twilight permission to access the Forbidden Wing of the Royal Library, a wing so secret even the other princesses can't access it. Twilight rushes to Canterlot, excited for the research potential.
Then she finds those books…
