During her time-twisting battle with Starlight Glimmer, Twilight finds herself in an Equestria ruled by a tyrant alicorn that calls herself the Queen of Equestria. In this world, Twilight's friends are gone and beyond her aid, and Equestria's citizens live in fear of their ruler's wrath should they anger her.

But no one has ever seen the pony who suffers the most in this world.

The most recent Friendship Games have just finished, with Crystal Prep's star academic Twilight Sparkle nearly ending the world. Abacus Cinch doesn't care about that; she merely wants Canterlot High School to forfeit the Games, claiming that the use of magic is cheating. Before anything else can be said, a new arrival appears, and Abacus Cinch gets a rude awakening.

"...we could be stuck doing this for all eternity!" Twilight said.
"That's fine with me!" Starlight responded.
Starlight never thought that Twilight was actually being serious.

What would have happened if Starlight hadn't turned herself over to Twilight? If she rejected friendship, even after being given a chance to come back?

Starlight Glimmer is strong. She always has been. She always will be.
But Twilight wants that to change.

Trying to patrol the dreams of every pony in Equestria can be stressful. To ease her burden, Luna retools the Tantabus to turn nightmares into good dreams instead of vice versa. Aware of her mistakes from last time, she tests it out thoroughly, making sure there are no unexpected behaviors. And as far as she can tell, there are none.

Except that it's started calling her "Mom".

Faced with the prospect of possibly creating life, Luna seeks out Twilight's advice and assistance. With a little luck, they can get this all sorted out before the sun rises.

Apple Bloom was just helping her sister at a local farmer's market when she met the most unusual employee at a stand. What follows is a filly getting the most unusual and depressing advice she's ever received.

And she was oh so grateful for that luck. But she finds herself less and less happy, especially when left to think alone. She’s started picking up old habits she thought she had left behind, and noticing more and more all the things she doesn’t have.
