This story is a sequel to Lost into Shadow

The impossible has happened, through all the pain and darkness, Twilight Sparkle succeeded in her impossible mission...mostly. King Sombra is still plenty rough around the edges, but despite being an old dog he's making an effort to learn new tricks. Where will this new way of life take him? He has absolutely no idea, but with his queen to guide him, what could possibly go wrong?

Unsettling dreams are starting to worry Princess Luna. She is positive these dreams hold an ominous portent for all of Equestria, but there is only one stallion who knows for certain the answers she seeks. King Sombra has been imprisoned again in Shadow since his defeat and the shattering of his body, but he is no less cunning and ruthless. And as Luna tries to interrogate him over time, she finds there is a softer side to the unicorn king, one nopony has seen before. But Celestia fears for her younger sister, warning Luna against Sombra's advances. Is the once-tyrant truly starting to court Princess Luna...or is she simply being used as a pawn in his plans to regain power?

King Sombra came from an old age, a time where darkness and evil were prevalent across the land. The Princesse's power and influence were weaker in those days, for the land of Equestria was divided amongst many kingdoms of lesser Princesses and Princes. But out of all their ruling neighbors, The Four Shepherds held the most power of all, even threatening Celestia and Luna's kingdom. However, all of that changed when they vanished for a thousand years, ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity. Until that is, when the Crystal Kingdom reappeared, along with one of the Shepherds. King Sombra, however, was thankfully vanquished swiftly, but the following peace of his defeat would not last as long as anypony might think. A new force sets its eyes on the recently coronated Princess Twilight Sparkle, one that seeks to restore a lost heritage and remind the land of who is the true owner of the night. For when one evil is smitten, another appears in its place. And King Sombra was only the first in line.

Twilight had reached her peak, she was at the happiest point in her young life. The day of her coronation as Equestria's newest princess had finally arrived. Then the unthinkable happened, Sombra appears in the throne room alive and well demanding his chance to be reformed by pony society. The unthinkable happens again, when his wish is granted, spearheaded by none other than Princess Twilight herself. Will Sombra's nefarious plans bring her to ruin, or will she succeed against all odds? Only time can tell as it reminds them both that plans have a way of changing all on their own.

King Sombra, the former tyrant and conqueror of Crystal Kingdom, the wielder of dark magic, servants and slaves that he had at his mere call. One thousand years ago; he lost himself after the banishment by Celestia and Luna, set out to reclaim it but was stopped by Cadance, Shining Armor and Twilight along with other Element of Harmony.

On an assignment from Celestia to inspect the Castle of the Royal Pony Sisters Twilight hears her friends tell the tale of the legendary Vampire Queen. She insists they stop spreading around such old wives' tales but some things in the castle make her question that belief especially when she encounters evidence that the story might be true during the investigation.

(Set after the Season 3 episode Games Ponies Play)

It is Hearth Warming Eve time and a tragic, sewer dwelling, Pegasus born with bat wings and a set of sharp teeth named Fluttershy Cobblewing AKA The Pegabat is planning to return to normal society after a lifetime living in the fringes of society which included a time being a sideshow freak at the circus and as a prisoner in a lab owned by the ghoulish and sadistic Crystal Emperor Sombra. Fueled by her cruel and horrific backstory she desperately longs to be accepted into society as a fellow pony not as a freakish monster at all costs. In order to achieve this she teams up with corrupt businesscolt Filthy Rich who wants to rule the city with The Pegabat as his puppet mayor by unleashing a horrific crime wave on citizens of Ponyville. But Ponyville's superhero Mare Do Well AKA Princess Twilight Sparkle is the only one who can stop The Pegabat and Filthy Rich's scheme. Based on Tim Burton's Batman Returns and Elfen Lied.

Twilight Sparkle had to use King Sombra's Dark Magic to solve various puzzles. She claims that Celestia showed her how, but how is she perfect at the spells at the first go? Something stinks of a nefarious plot....

I hope everpony likes this! I had this idea after watching the Season Three premier, and it wouldn't go away until I wrote it! I'm sorry if the writing isn't up to your standards, but I'll appreciate and constructive criticism!

Six months after the events of Kiss of the Dark, Twilight is deep into her pregnancy with Sombra's child. The foal is due any moment now, and she grows more excited by the day.

However, her memories of Sombra still haunt her. Torturing her in her dreams, making her feel guilty for the things she's done with him....

Once Celestia catches wind of it, she takes it upon herself to help her former student once more. After all, its best that they fix things once and for all before the foal arrives...
