"Live for the Future" is a narrative recounting Twilight's slow fall into love with Trixie, who is offered a second chance when Twilight spots her in Canterlot and is informed that she's homeless and has nothing left. Vignettes of Trixie's depressing past are interwoven within the story as well.

The Great and Powerful Trixie has returned to Ponyville with a new act, much to everypony's confusion, especially Twilight Sparkle. Why has she come back to the place of her humiliation? Twilight merely wants to understand Trixie's reasoning, but she quickly becomes just as confused with her own thoughts and feelings. The answers must be in a book somewhere, right?

Currently on hiatus. I intend to get working on this again soon; I'm just searching for my muse at the moment. I love this story, I really do; but it makes me feel terrible when I realize how much better it can be. Twilight, thanks to her new royalty, has been in Canterlot very often recently. In fact, for the past two months she hasn't been able to make the trip to Ponyville.

Though, she has wrote them all plenty, her friends all want to see her. With this thought, the five close friends head out to surprise the new princess.

However, they may very well end up to be the ones who get surprised.

The mane six are obviously in here but I cannot put that tag up thanks to limitations.
