Everyone has their special day.

A day for parties and cake.

A day to spend with their closest friends and family.

Their birthday.

When Pinkie begins planning AppleJack's birthday, she yells at her.

Applejack has never celebrated her birthday, not since she was a filly.

Then Applebloom runs in the house, crying.

She asks the question AppleJack's dreaded since her sister could talk.

"What happened to Ma and Pa?"

Being the sensible farmpony that she is, Applejack knows that spiders are nothing to be afraid of. Fluttershy herself would tell her that. But that still didn't stop her from harboring a deep-seeded fear of those eight-legged critters. And when Fluttershy's spiders escape their homes, Applejack starts seeing them everywhere.

She promptly freaks out and runs away.

Rainbow Dash is known to be a fearless pony. But, her bravery is put to the test when she has to get that one thing that she really doesn't want: a vaccine.

Like, at all. Unfortunately, she has to get her immunizations to continue working at Sugarcube Corner.
With the help of a friend, she just might make it through.

All is well in the Apple Family, until Granny Smith decides that Big Macintosh, Applejack, and Apple Bloom need to get flu shots. Two of the siblings accept their fate maturely, while one tries to avoid it at all costs.

Noi is a filly of many traits. She's a champion pillow-fighter, a student detective, and the youngest professional ice cream taste tester in Ponyville. However, she is not fearless. She has good reason to be scared. After all, she loses her mother to a terrible curse every year.

Twilight Sparkle realizes that Rainbow Dash has been keeping a secret from her ever since the Mare Do Well incident. When she goes to confront her about it, she finds out more than she bargained for. And then Twilight reveals that she's been keeping something from her friends ever since the Royal Wedding. Now everything is out there; harsh words have been spoken and a once strong friendship hangs in the balance.

A real hero doesn't brag?

Just because she likes to talk about how awesome she is means Rainbow isn't a hero?

After her friends revealed themselves to her, Rainbow Dash reacts to Applejack's words in a completely different way than what's expected, and things only go downhill from there. Tears will be shed, friendships will be broken, and knives will be twisted as everything that can go wrong WILL.

Gilda returns to Ponyville trying to get Rainbow Dash, but Dash hates Gilda too much. One day, Dash has fed up with this. So she tells her off!

Inspired by "I See Stars -- New Demons." And also a small taste of hate that I have for the people that I ran into in life.

Everypony has fears. Everypony handles them in their own way. But for some ponies, traumatic foalhood experiences can transcend into paranoia even into adulthood. This is the case with Rainbow Dash and the dentist. Faced with an excruciating and seemingly incurable toothache, Dash is left with few options: Face one of her worst and longest-lived fears, or risk her friends finding out that their oft-proud and fearless friend is, indeed, obsessively afraid of something.
