Pregnancy can take a toll on any mare, but it seems to be hitting Trixie harder than most. Flam, for his part, couldn't be happier (even if the little bundle of joy was unplanned) and he's been bending over backwards to jolly her along. But he's getting the nagging feeling there's something she's not telling him.

An artifact causes an incident where Luna's gender switches, and she becomes prince instead.

Evidently, Luna turned out to be a handsome prince. Now having to deal with confused and judging nobility, lots of mares vying for the Prince's affection, the paparazzi eager to get more scoops on the new lunar prince, and a sister who seems to want the prince to stay judging by how she sees the entire situation hilarious, along with her pranks and quips, Luna will have to work hard with Twilight to solve the mystery of Starswirl's Sphere and hope that she can return back to a normal life.

An annual event at Canterlot High, students form their own rock bands to compete, and the winning band is given the King/Queen of the Bands accolade, which is represented by a cheap plastic gold trophy. Or so everybody thinks. Sunset Shimmer can sense the magic deep within it, and the temptation to be in that seat of power yet again creeps up on her; without Twilight Sparkle around to stymie a possible magical advance on the school's students, the odds lean in her favor should she have the trophy in her hands. But in her troubled mind, will friendship prevail over evil and power?

Big Gala is a mare of few words. She's a hard worker, helping her brother run the farm as well as cooking and cleaning up after her family.

Sugarsnap is her best friend. She's a shy pony who only gets chatty around Gala and makes a living working at the local sweet shop.

Thundercloud is the third in the group. She's a pegasus who all the stallions admire. However, she does tend to suffer from stage fright.
