This story is a sequel to And I Hope You Die

The world has been at war for six years, and the conflict has almost reached its bitter end. One last push into enemy territory will win the war for the Alliance between Equestria and the Crystal Empire — but only if Flurry Heart and the forces she commands are willing to bear the cost, and Twilight Sparkle will allow them to bear it.

Artificer's Guildmaster Spike wasn't there when they made their decision, and it's too late to change what happened afterwards. All he can do now is piece together what led up to the fateful last days of the Second War, and do what little he can to protect the creatures who survived it.

A dual sequel to my short story "And I Hope You Die" and GaPJaxie's novel Around the World in 81 Days (And Other Problems Caused by Leap Years), written to be understandable for people who have read neither. My entry for the Imposing Sovereigns IV contest, using the prompt "Flurry Heart/Strength."

My captor was kind, to a point. They provided me with a comfortable private suite, three meals a day, and tried to accommodate any of my needs within reason. It was a far cry from being locked away in a dingy dungeon or straight up killed, but I still was a bit wary about the true intentions of this alicorn.

A gilded cage, however, is still a cage.

Eerie Lantern would be happy to go through the rest of her life without seeing a living soul... after all, she can see ghosts. What could the living have to offer but endless heaps of trouble? Then one fateful evening, one of her worst fears comes true:

A pony wants to be her friend!

Moonlight Raven is a goth pony who doesn't shy away from the dark and grim. Her sister, Sunshine Smiles, is equally unflappable in her optimistic joy. Together, they are easily the most terrifying thing Eerie has ever faced.

So how can she get rid of them, and ensure nopony else ever bothers her again?

Uh... preferably without murder? Sheesh! As if she needed to be haunted by any more disgruntled murder victims...

Death and Violence tags for the sorrowful recollection of a ghost's demise.

Three days ago, Cozy Glow went on a mission to infiltrate Cloudsdale and sow dissent in a grand conspiracy to turn the tribes of Equestria against each other.
On a completely unrelated note that is absolutely none of Tirek's business, Cozy has also been awake for three nights straight.

Also, someone really needs to do something about that corpse in the sitting room. It's becoming a health hazard.

Submitted for the Cozy Glow Short Story Contest #4. Prompts used: "Cozy Has A Secret", and "Cozy VS Bedtime".

It was a simple dynamic. Simple enough that it didn't require any questions, only the unspoken agreement to remain silent. It only required Twilight broken into pieces, so she could never put herself back together again.
It only required a list in a torn sheet of paper to question it all.

Trigger Warnings: Pretty subtle suggestions of eating disorders and sexual abuse, hence the non-con tag.

Original work in Spanish here.
Proofreaded by the great and patient Jay Tarrant

Version 3.0 - Fixed quite a few things here and there.
Note: I'm working on version 4.0, improving translation and mostly the first scene from the main story.
If you have any suggestions, feel free to PM me!

Based on a dream and a bunch of buried feelings. Don't shoot me.
