Twilight's bloody corpse hangs in a shard of broken window. Twilight stalks the train in search of the monster that killed her. Two of the Twilights that are too many, facets of a Twilight that is too much.

“So you remember what dying’s like?” Dash asked with the careless curiosity of a child.

“It was like if falling asleep really hurt. Except some of me stayed dreaming.” 

When a freak reading accident causes Twilight to be admitted to the Ponyville hospital, Rainbow Dash is right by her side. Compelled by a sense of duty and repayment, she takes it upon herself to cheer up her friend.

Ponies have tried to study and explain many phenomena over the ages. Many relics of the past had been found, with scholars having worked day and night in order to find out something about the history of Equestria. But not many have tried to search for answers in more distant lands. And yet there are some explorers that like to find out more about the world of Equus in general, be it in the coldest tundra or the hottest desert.

But knowledge has a price...

Sunset didn't realize just how different other dimensions could be before going through the portal. Now she finds herself in a world where people never age or grow, they just attend high school forever. Whether she's entered a paradise or a nightmare remains to be seen.

Sunny innocently makes an over-the-top haunted house for Izzy. A bit too over-the-top, however, as things go wrong quickly, causing Izzy to run in a panic, blindly dashing into the dark nighttime forest.

Not only is it dark, but there are predacious creatures about...and they're all hungry. Izzy has no light save for a dim flashlight.

Can she survive until Sunny arrives to help her?

North of Canterlot, in the far marches of Equestria near the border with the Griffon tribes, there is a mountain that flies.

West of Canterlot, beyond the Galloping Mountains and a desert painted in the pastel hues of a faded rainbow, a tower sits at the edge of the world.

South of Canterlot, past the Everfree forest and the desolate badlands, a city of gardens waits to be born.
