Silverstream has never been a half-measures kind of girl. So when Gallus returns from a rotten trip to Griffonstone in need of a pick-me-up, she's prepared to do whatever it takes to lift his spirits. And she knows exactly what she must do.

Thank you to Meridian Prime and semillon for being handsome. And for helping me put this story together.
Dragons are a lot of things. Strong. Brave. Confident.
Smolder has all of these qualities in spades. For example, she needed strength, bravery, and confidence to ask the object of her crush to visit her in the Dragon Lands.
She just didn't expect Ocellus to be such a good dragon too, or why that would be such a problem.

Smolder, now an old and ancient dragoness, looks back on a certain conversation she had with her five best friends 1,000 years ago on the subjects of life span and mortality.
Ocellus has been having some conflicting thoughts on her place at the School of Friendship. She loves her time there, and the friends she's made, but she can't help but wonder if there's anything more to it than just friendship. So she does the sensible thing and asks her guidance councilor.
Trixie has been dating a stallion and it seems to be going good for the both of them. Unfortunately, Starlight is convinced that this new stallionfriend is not all he seems to be and becomes determined to do whatever she must so to prove it.
And even worse--she just might be right to suspect.
The Great and Powerful Trixie is a very respectable marefriend, putting aside some minor issues like theft, failing to read her letters properly and general cheekiness. It's how she ended up with not one, but two wonderful partners, neither of which she'd abandon for the world.
The afterworld is a different kettle of fish. It's a kettle that requires too much prep time and unnecessarily fancy instructions, and going over its proverbial recipes requires sacrifices that honestly aren't worth it. Not that those facts will stop ponies with delusions of sacrificial heroism, of which there are far too many in Equestria.
Good thing The Great and Powerful Trixie is a far more effective mediator. Hearth's Warming Eve might be gloomy without her insightful presence.

Hopefully this fits to your taste. I'll admit things got a bit strange the more an idea calcified in my brain, and if it's not to your liking I can write something else. ^_^;
Sunset was enjoying her day, going through school as she was expected to do, when she's suddenly called to the Principal's office.
Confused, but with little choice in the matter, she answers, heading to Celestia's office. There, she finds the Principal sitting, wanting to have a chat.
Sunset was not prepared for anything like this.
Now with Youtube reading!
On some level Celestia always understood that a ship could never really love an anchor.
