Strength incites challenge and with that challenge comes a dark day in her life. Will she be able to survive the upcoming storm?

Hello, everyone! This is a story idea I've had for a while now and I've been writing on and off for a few months. Recently, I burned my hand pretty bad, so I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and upload this in the meantime while I wait for my hand to heal~ I hope everyone enjoys this idea and I will try to update it every now and again~

Sunset Shimmer had recently graduated from Canterlot High School. Now in her 40s, she is a successful businesswoman living in the city. However, something about her current situation feels a bit... off....

After awakening some sort of magic during the battle at the Fall Formal, Sunset Shimmer learns to use these new powers, plotting to take revenge on those who've wronged her. However, something inside her prevents her from doing anything remotely evil. So when a dangerous gang of delinquents called the Changelings and their leader, Chrysalis, rise up, Sunset must use her amazing new powers to help and protect the innocent and take down this new evil.

I didn't like how I started the other Phoenix story so I'm COMPLETELY starting over, redoing almost everything. Don't know what I was thinking back then trying to have it set after Legend of Everfree lol. I'm not as confident in my writing as I was years ago, but I will try my best to try and provide a fun action packed story!

When Sunset Shimmer first came to the human world, she met a very special girl. This girl would go on to become her guide to the world, as well as her girlfriend. This pairing didn't last, however, as Sunset's selfish and destructive nature drove a wedge between them.

Now, years after their breakup, Sunset gets an invite from her former lover to meet up again. No longer the manipulative bully she once was, Sunset takes the opportunity to make amends with the one girl she never got a chance to, and repair their broken relationship.

Sunset is still new to having a pet. She’s learning though, and she’s very excited to be taking care of the him.

Sunset Shimmer believes something seriously wrong is happening in Equestria. So she pays them a visit, along with the human Twilight Sparkle. On the other side of the portal, they find a far emptier world. One that holds unexpected danger. And now, what should have been a day-trip is turned into a fight for survival. The girls need to get back home, before the Equestrian threat beats them to it.
