On a winter morning in Ponyville, Rainbow Dash throws a snowball at Applejack.

Things escalate quickly.

Anon likes his life to be simple. He wakes up, goes to work and sometimes gets himself a good book to read while he is home. It's a routine that he likes to follow, it makes him feel like he has a bit of normality with his life in Equestria. The fact that having Celestia come crashing into his home as part of his routine should prove that his life is anything but normal.

However creatures loyal to those defeated by the Twilight and her friends travel back in time to change the past, all of time since rewrites itself. Will Twilight be able to reunite with her friends? And if she is, how will they be changed in this world of shadows, this world of madness, this Nightmare Equestria.

Since the Timberwolf incident, Applejack hasn't been feeling well. She can't eat, she can't sleep and she's not sure why.

Little does she realize that she's suffering from the deadliest disease of all: love.

But who is she pining for?

Discord has lived for quite a long time. Centuries as a ruler, a millennium as a rock, years as a reformed draconequus, it all gets very tiring. A nap is exactly what he needs. But when you live forever, time loses its meaning, years pass in the blink of an eye, mortals come and go like mayflies. And that's fine.
After all, any being that is truly important will live forever. Discord would never associate with anything less.

Years have passed since Octavia Philharmonica and Vinyl Scratch first met on the platforms of Canterlot Station. In the short time that they spent together, they became the best of friends. Then they separated, both of them returning to their homes, meeting one another with less and less frequency as time went on. Within a few years, they had only memories of each other, impressions of the fillies that they used to be.

And then they met again, in the hallways of the Canterlot Conservatory.

Crystal Clarity, a pony. Not like any other pony, but a dragon-pony hybrid. She has lived most of her life being teased for being "different" than the others. But, when she discovers a group of friends and one special somepony, her life will change.
