When I first came to Equestria, I had no real desire to get involved with anything. I lived below the radar, minding my own business... but plans change. The Hive needs help, and no one else will give them any.

This is the first story I've ever written, I hope it's up to snuff, as it were. I'm no auther, just some guy who had an idea, so criticism is welcome.

This story is a sequel to Before the Night

A sequel to Before the Night. Bald Ostrich, consort and coltfriend to Princess Luna before her banishment, finds himself in modern day Equestria. Will the Royal Sisters remember him? Will adjusting to modern, Equestrian life be difficult for somepony who was once not a pony? This, is Dawn of a New Day

Anthony Grimm is a 30-something adrift in life. He has no wife or children. His old friends have moved on with their lives. His parents barely remember he exists. Life hardly seems worth living to him anymore.

One day, due to some unfortunate events, Anthony dies. But that’s not the end of him. Instead, a powerful entity offers him a chance at a new life in Equestria.

Anthony, determined to live life to the fullest now that he has a second chance, accepts the offer and begins his new life as a pony. What new experiences and adventures does Equestria have in store for him?

Discord was not pleased to find himself banished from entering Equus or it's realm. He is not so easily discouraged either, a puppet master is always willing to pull a few strings to make the set just right for the play. So he'll break the cosmic binds that hold him back and do whatever is necessary to get back even if he has to mold a soul or two to make puppets that do his bidding.

But Charlotte isn't exactly the type of puppet to allow her strings to be played with. But she has to bide her time, she needs to know what rules they may or may not be. But something is burning in her mind, why is a dimension hopping demon so keen on getting his hands onto a realm that wants nothing to do with him...

...And what did he do to be exiled?

This story takes place within the same story as Chipped Shield both are meant to be seperate journeys for each stories but they both have history with one another. If you wish to read this in order just know these stories co-exist on the same time and when either meets each other at any point I will note the chapter they both collide with.

3/14/24 Still Alive Edition

There's only one pony in Ponyville that the Mane Six have never met. Pinkie Pie has never thrown him a party, Applejack has never sold him a mug of cider, and Twilight has never seen him check out any books. And as far as that unicorn, Lapis Print, is concerned, that's exactly how it should be.

Lapis can't risk them knowing where he lives, what he does for a living, or even what his name is - if he gets his way, the Mane Six won't even know he exists, and nopony in Ponyville will miss him once he's gone.

It should be a piece of cake - after all, it's not like the biggest magical power in Equestria is about making sure everypony looks out for each other, right?

Have you ever just been having a regular day, then suddenly, BAM, you're dead? Well, no, of course you haven't. But what do you expect to happen after you die? If the answer was getting shoved into an overly pink copy of a pony princess, you'd be lying. Worse yet, she made me an alicorn just like her, which causes a whole new set of problems.

Unfortunately, she was adamant that I stay and become her twin sister. I ditched her immediately in my bumbling confusion and fear, and who could blame me? The last thing on my mind was being here! Ponies, princesses, and twin sisters? What kind of fantasy story was that? I was on the run, hiding from guard patrols, and fighting for my next meal. However, my own hubris caught up to me in the end, and her super powerful mother, Cadance, found me and made me see how stupid I was being. And Cadance, is an absolutely crazy powerful pony, with an even more powerful maternal instinct. So when it came down to her word against mine, she was really hard to convince, and she wasn't taking no for an answer.

(AKA, Super wholesome, fluffy, found family. And me having fun tugging on heartstrings.)

So, I got blasted by some mages in my world, and now I'm in a completely new one. I'm something called a 'kirin', and I've lost my opposable thumbs. Surprisingly, it wasn't a polymorph spell either! My magic has gone completely wack. I burned down a forest. And apparently I'm the first ever Kirin to have alicorn magic, which sounds awesome right? Well, not when you're constantly combusting into flames! I never wanted this! And for some reason these ponies keep treating me so nicely. Even after I keep screwing everything up. How hard is it to act like normal for once in my life?

What? There's nothing wrong with me! Please don't send me back...

Life is odd, really. You never know exactly what will happen, or if something is good or bad. Or if it will stay good or bad in the long run. Such thoughts only ever brought me anxiety. Such thoughts are all I really have anymore.

I was just a normal brony, enjoyed the show, the fanart, the music, and sure, I had my daydreams of going to Equestria. But, waking up in the Everfree forest as a pegasus of the wrong gender, without a memory of how I got there, before Twilight ever left Canterlot, really puts things in perspective.

Surviving the forest, Nightmare Moon, Discord, the Changelings, all of that will be easy, it's the lack of internet and inevitable socializing that has my skin crawling. Well, that and me potentially ruining the timeline with my sheer existence, that isn't fun either. That is, if the timeline doesn't ruin me first, or was already ruined to begin with!

This is a potentially-one-off story about an alicorn disguised as an earth pony. Unfortunately, alicorn magic doesn't like to be suppressed and must be let out once in a while so it doesn't explode.

Join some unnamed alicorn OC pony as they burn off some excess energy while trying to avoid detection.
