Sequestered in her Manehattan penthouse in self-imposed isolation, Noir hides from Equestria, maintaining her crown assigned duties as the city's Poet Laureate. Rumors of her gross deformity and the history of her fall from grace haunt her every waking moment. Plagued by events she cannot alter, Noir's mind has slipped into a world where fact and fiction blur. Solace is sought in drink and debauchery, and her magic has decayed to the most basic of skills. Protected by her diamond dog companion, it is only a matter of time before she tells one lie too many and finds herself utterly alone.

How can you correct the course of your fate when you only look to the past?

Twilight Sparkle, younger sister of Princess Celestia's personal student, Shining Armor, grew up listening to her brother's bygone dreams of joining the elite of the elite: The Royal Guard.

Now, fresh out of the Academy, this young mare is ready to prove herself equal to the deeds of the great soldiers she read about as a filly. Too bad the princess she ends up protecting isn't Celestia.

Octavia has a musical history and a side to herself she'd rather not have to explain outside of Ponyville. Inside Ponyville... well, everything was fine until she spotted Vinyl Scratch. What was she doing here?

Don't panic, Octavia! Don't freak out, don't lose your mind, don't....

Octavia had it all. Well, almost all; she had some money, some fans, some friends, her dream career, but it all lacked something, or someone to be exact. After one of her many concerts she finds herself waiting in line for, what's that? Another concert! Though she might not be the one playing in this one, this is one of the few places where she can relax.

And that is where it all began, on that one night, she found it. But it has a few secrets.

~Vinyl's eyes...I have my opinion on their color...(I realize that the show revealed them to be magenta...I was bummed out by that...)
~Not a big fan of Vinyl OR Octavia dying...just not cool to me ( vinyl dies a lot in fics... )
~Don't like sad endings...(not saying there won't be any)
~Don't like unfinished stories...at all

Ponyville is being utterly obliterated by Twilight Sparkle, or at least somepony who looks exactly like her. She wakes one morning to the devastating sight, somehow having lost her voice and her ability to use any magic. With no way to convince any one that it's not her causing the destruction, she is callously sent away by her impostor to face her doom. Suffering through immense turmoil and emotional pain, will she finally find her ultimate savior not within herself, but within Rainbow Dash?

What will become of Twilight and Ponyville? Will the impostor Twilight stop only at Ponyville, or continue to go for a much greater target? And are the impostor's motives really as sinister as they appear to be?
