Cozy Glow's plans failed. She was arrested and sentenced to imprisonment in Tartarus, sharing a cell with the likes of Tirek and locked away from the world. Everypony is in agreement that justice has been served, right?

Well, her parents aren't. What parent could ever stand by and allow their child to suffer all alone? And if Celestia won't listen... then they'll just have to take matters into their own hooves.

The worst part of a betrayal is often not the act itself, but everything that lingers after. Trying to piece together the motivations of someone you once trusted, sifting through memories for some sign you might have missed.

Wondering if, somehow, they had a good reason behind it all.

Seeking closure, Twilight tries to find answers in Cozy Glow's abandoned possessions, but the truth she discovers is one that will make her question everything.

Takes place after "The Break Up Break Down"

Applejack is wondering if she's been a good influence on her quiet, withdrawn older brother or not. Rainbow Dash drops by to toss in her two bits as the two discuss how big an influence siblings are in shaping a pony's life, liberally punctuated by snark.

Note: I wrote this up shortly after the episode aired and promptly forgot about it. It's a pretty unpolished work, just a one-shot of two characters chatting, but I figured I might as well share it. If nothing else, hopefully the two trading barbs is good for a few chuckles.

After an unknowable amount of time sealed inside a prison of magical stone, Cozy Glow finally escapes. The hapless young Princess who freed her, intent on allying with the "Frozen Foal" to oppose her family's tyrannical rule, doesn't have any idea how dramatically her plans are about to go awry.

And neither, it turns out, does Cozy Glow.

Tirek had to go to a parent teacher conference to discuss Cozy Glow's interesting take on a class assignment.

Rainbow Dash is certain she's about to have the best week ever! She's gotten a letter from her idol Daring Do, inviting her to an expedition to the ancient Centaurian ruin of Midnight Castle to retrieve a lost Equestrian artifact! A daring adventure with Daring Do? What could go wrong?

Well, for one thing, Doctor Caballeron could show up, chasing after the same artifact. For another, Lord Tirek and Cozy Glow could show up too, with their own nefarious plans. Wait, but they're supposed to be in Tartarus!

Maybe this isn't going to be such a great week after all...

After losing her hive, Queen Chrysalis is forced to start another one. Luckily she has the help of a few loyal subjects who never accepted their fellow changelings new way of life. They must stay hidden from enemies, collect enough food to survive and rebuild their strength. Now the first brood has hatched and there is something very different about one of the larva.

Fizzlepop Berrytwist suffered a terrible tragedy as a foal and nearly lost her way until a chance meeting with Shining Armor showed her another path in life - as a member of the Night Guard of Luna. However, in her efforts to prove herself as being up to the task of being a Night Guard, she has pushed herself practically to the breaking point. As her commanding officers try and sort out her unique situation and if the Guard really is the place for her, she is given a simple assignment: keep an eye on Trixie Lulamoon, Princess Luna's new apprentice, as she spends a day in Canterlot.
