This story is a sequel to G5 Adventures in Garfield's Fun Fest

In order to let themselves rest after their previous Unity Quests, Sunny organizes the entire Mane 6 to go with Windy and Posey on the Trail Trotters camping trip, but as the others are beginning to enjoy the aspects of camping, the Unity Crystals summon them for another adventure.

This time, they reunite with Mystery Inc to visit the gang's old friend Eric, a student at a prestigious university, who needs their help after a monster called the Phantom Virus emerges from the video game he created about Mystery Inc’s earlier adventures. But as the group is about to capture the Phantom Virus, they are accidentally transported into the game itself!

Now, in order to escape and defeat the virus, the ponies must help the gang win all 10 levels of the game by finding boxes of Scooby Snacks on each level, filled with virtual villains from the gang’s most famous capers. Joining them in this adventure is a new friend, a magical wolf searching for her sister within cyber-space, and even the cyber doubles of Mystery Inc and the Mane 6!

But will they succeed and escape the game in one piece? Or will they be trapped in cyberspace forever?

Violette Rainbow is so excited to stay an entire weekend with the Mane 6 in the Crystal Brighthouse before school in Bridlewood starts that next week, but little does she know that she is being sent on a Unity Quest with the Mane 6 as well.

This time, they are transported to Fernfield, Washington, home of the legendary Golden Retriever athlete Air Bud, his wife Molly and his five adorable puppies (the hip-hoppin' B-Dawg, lovely RoseBud, mellow Buddha, dirt-loving MudBud, and the big fella Budderball), who share an incredible secret-- they can talk, but only to other animals and ponies.

When it comes time to adopt the young puppies into new families, humans, ponies and dogs alike are distraught and Violette decides to help the Buddies run away. Enter a spoiled rich boy named Bartleby who wants Air Bud as a birthday present, a dim-witted cousin, and a doltish thug employed by Bartleby's father, and mayhem prevails as Buddy and Molly get dog-napped!

Now, it's up to the Mane 6, Violette and the Buddies to rescue Buddy and Molly before they get captured themselves.

As the chase winds over the river, through the woods, to the drive-in movie theater, and straight through the farmyard, slapstick comedy and satire reign and the whole gang learns an important lesson about the value of teamwork, love, and courage.

While in this new world, they meet comedic cat Garfield, his pony pal/adoptive unicorn sister Jasmine Wildbloom, his sidekick Odie and his owner Jon, who happily let the ponies stay with them until they are called home.

Garfield, the long-running champion of the Cartoon World Fun Fest talent show, believes he can't lose with his usual and hilarious routine, especially with the ponies around for moral support. Problem is, his girlfriend and partner Arlene wants to change the act. When Garfield refuses, Arlene hooks up with a suave, narcissistic newcomer, Ramon, for a show-stopping tango that will win the audience over. But since he is not one for solo performances, Garfield loses his humor mojo! 

With hours ticking away till showtime, Garfield, Odie, Jasmine, her best friend Diamond Heart and the Mane 6 set off to find the Holy Grail of Guffaws-- the magic pond of funny water within the Mystical Forest they read about in a storybook.
