The holidays are meant to be a time of holly jolly fun, spending time with friends and family, and celebrating the magic of friendship. You usually couldn't pay most ponies to take a work shift on Hearth's Warming. Redheart, of course, loves the Hearth's Warming shift. It's her favorite time of year, and she can spend it with the only friends and family she has: her patients.

But this particular Hearth's Warming might be different.

The stress-filled days of exams and personal problems are finally over and all the students are looking forward to seeing their families again and celebrating their respective celebrations. But it looks like Gallus changed his mind and is no longer going home for the holidays and, instead, prefers to stay in his room and spend the days alone. Sandbar can't let that happen and invites him over to his home to spend the holidays with him and his family. This includes all of their unique, fun, and sometimes a bit weird traditions as well!

Will Gallus enjoy the time with his boyfriend's family or will the differences that come with their races ruin the most magical night of the year? And what's the deal with Gallus' sudden change of heart? Did something happen or was is just a spontaneous decision?

A new challenge for the new-formed couple is waiting for them, all wrapped up and with a pretty ribbon on top.

Troy was still a highly-successful singer and theater actor, who had managed to make a name for himself as one of the few gryphons performing on Bridleway. Meanwhile, Canvas was still regarded as one of Equestria's most proficient artists, and was even able to expand his work to more than one studio. In fact, Troy and Canvas were able to invest in a second home in Manehattan, even though Ponyville always remained their true hometown.

Though, honestly it's probably best that this stays a secret. Shining is a stud and Princess Cadance the most beautiful mare in Equestria. They're way out of his league and happily married.

It's just a bunch of dumb day dreaming and childish fantasies. They couldn't possibly like him like that.

On a very cold winter morning before Hearth's Warming Day, Sandbar and Gallus return to the school, but take a moment to sit by the fire and have a moment (mostly) to themselves.

Tangentially related to my series of GallBar stories, but not strictly necessary to read for this one. I promise.

Sometimes, the very best days are the ones where you don't do much of anything at all. Gallus, an expert napper, certainly believes that little else could be better.

But then, waking from a nap beside your loving husband and getting to enjoy some of his fall fluffiness, well... that might be the best thing of all.

Just a little bit of fluff about a little bit of fluff.

Applejack's life leaves her little time for romance. All the time that isn't spent working the farm is either given to her family, or given to sleep. So, she's largely given up on love, seeing it as just a far off dream.

What she doesn't know is that another pony can see that dream.

After Twilight Sparkle reopens her School of Friendship she decides, as an act of diplomacy, to hold another Friends and Family Day to prove her school is different this time. Almost everyone agrees that this is was a good call and has a good time, but one earth pony refuses to and it's up to his griffon friend to try and change that.

This is a Season 8 story, based on only the first two episodes. Which means I'll probably have to mark this under Alternate Universe eventually.
