New One-Shot
Hey all! It's been awhile. Apparently time flies, and the smoldering dumpster fire that is this tiny blue speck amongst the stars can be a bit distracting at times. Which is why I figured a little Escapism is in order!
What do you get if you get Isekai'd to Equestria, but the bus keeps coming back to Isekai you again? I explore this in a story hot off the press today. The power was out, so I used the time to write on my laptop... which was good exercise. Due to aforementioned being busy, and health, etc... I haven't been writing nearly as much as I meant to which has sort of put my hobby on hold for most of the year.
But alas, I got my spark back, maybe. It could have also been the arcing electricity of damage power lines.
Everfree Northwest
I guess it's a lot closer now than it was earlier this year. I plan to visit and hang out a bit there. So might try and meet and greet some people while there, I don't even know if the panels are gonna be gen 4 or gen 5 or what. But it should be fun.
Other Stuff
So I can't promise life won't keep getting in the way. Plus, Star Citizen could be released any decade now and I'm gonna have to straight up take some time off Fim Fiction when that happens. Any... Decade... Now...
But, I can say that I've been doing "research" on Doctor who for an upcoming sequel trilogy. I can also say Rian Johnson is not involved in my sequel trilogy, and that I hope to get a one-shot about Dawn and Dash out soon. (Technically I was gonna write it for Valentine's Day, then Mother's Day, then Father's Day... so I really dropped the ball. I guess I have to wait for baby's day or something now?)
And I haven't forgotten that I started continuing two other long-abandoned stories. So for now a little non-sensical one-shot to tide you over for the 1-2 months it'll probably take to fully complete, edit, and release (or finish) a story. Of course, I also want to balance that with not setting unrealistic expectations for myself and then never writing, because I've seen what that did to G.R.R.M. and I can absolutely promise you every single story I've ever written plus the DoH sequel trilogy will be complete before we get "Winds of Winter." Also, I'll be as famous as Steven King by the time Star Citizen launches.
So really, we just need a little collective patience, and to keep being such cool followers and hanging out on Discord to keep me motivated and it'll all be here before we know it.
Thanks again to everyone who likes to read my stuff, and hope your year continues to be (or becomes) amazing!
But can you promise it doesn't involve Chris Chibnal or Jodie Whittaker?

Sure, though I don't know who to base the doctor off yet. Tenet and Smith were my favorite iterations, but Eccleston and Capaldi had some edge to shave with... He's male on the mlp show so as much as I enjoy a gender bender, wouldn't make sense for him to suddenly be Jodie. I didn't see anything wrong with her but I didn't have HBO Max or BBC so I've only seen like 1 of her seasons.
Though I suppose they could visit a Rule 63 universe, that would be fun. "So Dawn you're female in the other universe?" "Yes, but also no, it's complicated." Now I kinda want to bring back the alternate personalities, I should go play some more Psychonauts for inspiration.

Ooh, Psychonauts is great for inspiration!
IMO, If you did that r63 route, you could probably do it better than Chris Chibnal has done.
Trust me, one season is enough. I stopped watching close to then of that season. Couldn't stomach any more of it.
Now I'm two hours into a 5 hour video detailing all the writing problems in the Chibnal era, and they've so far only covered four episodes.
