Starscribe Story

So back in November I hit a 50k word goal and got a little freebie, a 2k word commission. It posted last week. It's a romantic comedy about the awesomeness that is warm fuzzy socks. It was really nice to be able particpate in the event and write Dash of Humanity 3. Phishing

I heard there's some phishing attacks going around and not the passive-aggressive IT department kind where if you click on the link you have to do a 3 hour training where you have to identify why Sally in Accounting leaves her password on a sticky note, and Joey is clicking on an email link titled "GET A 40% LARGER COCK AND BALLS TODAY!" is a bad idea. So I'll just leave that as a url to copy instead of a link to click. Unless you've got a modern web browser, in which case it converted it into a link anyway. Which is sus. Which means don't click it.

Or do. Maybe you know you can mouse over links and it will display the actual link *before* clicking on it in a pop-up. Maybe you know to check the spelling of said actual link closely, looking for https, that the spelling is correct, and the domain hasn't changed from say... .com to .net or .org. Stay safe, or get a 2fa, and then get super pissed when you trade in your phone and lose the 2fa.

But hey, at least it's not Discord where someone can steal your account anytime you sneeze.

Damn I guess it's been a while. I wanted a day off, which became a week, which became a month, which became a downward spiral of procrastination... but I'm once again asking you to donate to... no wait, wrong script. shuffles notecards. I'm going to clean up my apartment this week and begin channeling energy into writing. Probably. As opposed to Starscribe, my monkey's coconut gun fires in spurts. And I don't have a million of them to bang a million typewriters so I won't be doing any Shakespeare. But I can at least stop waiting around for that damn Gen 5 special that still hasn't happened, and self-motivate myself for a change.

Anyway, progress has been stop and go and I don't want to get any hopes up until something is finished enough to send to an editor or post.

Everfree Northwest

I'm thinking of going this year to meet some people, which could be fun. Plus, I could always use some more MLP merch. You know, get rid of the old Lyra plushy and buy an Izzy one. A few dozen pins that will sit in a ziploc bag. A print of a grimdark pony to base a story on. The usual.
