Quick Update - Trigger Happy etc. · 4:46pm Mar 25th, 2022
Hello to all,
I just thought I'd drop in and give an update to my followers and readers about the current state of my work.
It's been nearly 2 months since the last chapter of Trigger Happy Equines went up, and while I wish I could say the next one will be up any day now, that likely won't be the case. I could simply blame this one on writer's block, (which is a part of it) but I'm also guilty of becoming shamelessly obsessed with Elden Ring since it released, logging over 100 hours. It's an incredible game and I highly recommend it, but not if you lack free time. I've also been playing a lot of Gran Turismo 7, and as such, I've gotten almost zero writing done this past month. I'm... sorry.
I've also started work on an original writing project that I fully intend to get published. Thankfully, it won't be anywhere near as long as Trigger Happy, (I expect in its completed form it'll be around 60k words, potentially with some illustrations if possible) so it won't take an absolute age before I can finish my first draft. I've spent a long time writing fan fiction, have had a friend of mine routinely tell me to get on and write something I could potentially make money from, so I'm finally, finally doing just that. Only a few thousand words done so far, but lots of notes for something that's been rattling around in my head for the past few years. I haven't seen anything else out there quite like it, so I'm hoping it'll stand out from the crowd, at least.
That said, work is still underway for the next chapter of Trigger Happy, in what looks to be (and I know I've said this before) the longest chapter yet. I don't even have a good place to stop to split it into two, so unfortunately you'll have to wait a while. One thing I will say is that, while nothing much might seem to happen in it, (this is going to be very introspection-heavy on Greyscale's part) there's... Well, some pretty major things either occurring or being hinted at. You're gonna be in for the long haul, I'm afraid. This next chapter is also heavily inspired by two particular pieces of media. I could've gone in a different direction with this one but I just couldn't help myself! It'll be interesting to see if anyone can guess them.
We're still a couple chapters off from the next murder trial, (Oh, boy... I hope you're ready for that one) which I'm both really looking forward to getting to and also scared out of my mind. Should be fun.
I'd like to give a shout out to:

I can hardly believe I've captured this many fervently passionate fans that are willing to read (and re-read!) my rather long creation as it is so far. With all your wonderful comments, thought and theories, you're keeping me going on this, and I can only hope you enjoy what is yet to come. Even if some of it is soul-crushing and horrifying.
Until next time.
Thank you for the update, and good luck with your writing project!
Heh. I know the feeling of Elden Addiction. Been feeling it myself lately. I still gotta get around to reading THE.

Haha, I see! I'm still waiting for that next chapter of Bloodhound, my friend! But if it's Elden Ring that's keeping you, then I know all too well the struggle. Currently bashing my head against a brick wall trying to beat Malenia, then it's on to (I think) the final boss. Once that's done, I'll be free! Free, I tell you!

Next chapter of BH is actually done. It'll be up on the last day of the month, like usual.
I won't be delivering Elden Ring spoilers. I've just been experimenting with different builds, and exploring. Tends to be what I do in games like this. ^^,
I’m loving this story and can’t wait fir more, regardless of how long it takes. My OC Cassandra is entertaining herself by 100%’ing the trials on hard mode.
