Hey guys. Been a while since my last blog post, figured i'd finally poke my head in and give a status update. Check it out after the break.
So, I am well aware that it's been more than a year since my last chapter posting of Apprentice, actually. I have been working on it for the last several weeks, in addition to the previous work I did several months before, until I got caught up in the new chapter for Last Bow.
In short, the chapters (plural) I am working on are my usual 15k. I'm just having trouble hitting my stride and knocking out the scenes in question. I've finished up a few of them, written decently into others, but I'm still only maybe about 40% of the way there after 14 months. Now, take out the time I spent working on my two Last Bow chapters, plus the time I spent working on Starlight's Support Group, and that leaves me with about 7 months. Not bad, but I really wish it'd have been better.
There has been a lot going on, too. Couple of vacations, job turbulence (and a job hunt, but that's been put on hold), and just my general procrastination hitting hard.
I don't want to judge myself too harshly, but geez, I really want to get this finished up so I can hard focus on Last Bow. Only a few chapters left to go and the rewrite will be complete.
