A Long-Overdue Status Update · 3:09pm Jun 22nd, 2023
Hello hello, everyone. It's been some time since I checked in and gave a status update, but there's been a lot going on in the last few weeks.
Let's get the big one out of the way, I live in Minnesota now!
Well, not quite yet (sort of). I am in my new city, but I don't actually move into my new apartment until tomorrow afternoon and my stuff doesn't arrive until whenever it gets here (sometime in the next month), but I made the move all the way from Dallas to the Twin Cities, so I have myself one big adventure into the unknown. I figure I can try it out for a year and if it isn't for me, I can always fall back on the familiar when my lease runs out.
As for my writing, as can probably be expected, I haven't done much lately, though that's less because of the move and more because I've been going nuts in Tears of the Kingdom. Now that I'm separated from it by a month, I wonder how my writing output will improve! But yeah, I got quite a bit done, but after publishing last chapter, I kinda slowed down with the move coming up and TOTK coming out to keep me busy. Now that it's all on the other side, I think I'm ready to get back in the swing of things.
Now back to the poll I ran a couple of months back. I only got six votes ( :/ ) but I'm not really surprised. Pony ain't as big as it used to be, and I was never one of the writers with a bigger audience, and blogs rarely get followed as it is. What's important is, it's unanimous. Y'all want all three chapters, so cool, I'll put those on the agenda. Probably won't be done when I wanted it originally, but I think I can get them done in the next year or so. I don't exactly have my main computer and stuff, so what else am I gonna do?
Anyway, yeah, lot of stuff's happened over the last several weeks, and I'm about to start a new chapter in my life. I'm extremely excited, but also extremely nervous, but I don't think it'll take long before I'm settling back into a routine and getting used to my new surroundings.

But I'm glad that the Time Travel arc gets rewritten. That part never really sat right with me, no offense to your writing. Take all the time you need

Just check out Alexstrazsa's blog where he's revisiting old stories he wrote way back when. We get better, we get more experienced, we realize "o shit, I suck" and wince. For example, in the current finale, Twilight gets Damsel-ified with only a slight "They planned this" justification, so I want to fix it and actually have a proper fight. Not to mention, I've been adding little nods to Last Bow to replace old nods to the original sequels I was gonna do.
Revisiting Nova has been fun and cringey all at once, but I get to solve the cringe.
