Let's get the bad news out of the way first.
I've decided to start working on the sequel to the Purity Test. I know that, for those waiting on the good end of the story, this will be a disappointing and unpopular decision, but believe me when I say I tried. I tried to work on these alternate chapters, but I felt like I had to force myself to write them, and I've found that's never a good sign. Plus, all my writing momentum seems to have swung in the sequels' favour, making me more inclined to write this story instead.
Now this doesn't mean I've given up on writing the good end entirely. I do want to finish it and the other alternate chapters, and I'll keep trying to get them done at my own pace. But I want to enjoy writing them, and forcing myself to write them seems counter-productive if that makes any sense. So, the good end and alternate chapters aren't cancelled, just postponed for now.
The silver lining/good news however, is that with this decision made, work on the sequel is now underway. In fact, by the time you are reading this, the prologue of the new story, Odyssey of the Heart, shall be uploaded. So hopefully you guys will enjoy that one as much as you did the Purity Test.
I have noticed that this sequel compared to the first, has had a mixed reception in terms of "likes and dislikes", and it is not because of the writing. you have good writing just comparing me to you. I guess it's the FoE type theme which is so hated on this shitty site. I only ask you not to be discouraged by that. And do what you love and take the time to maintain stable quality.
