It's been a year this month since my father passed

It's been...odd. I've not been a ball of volatile emotions or having emotional breakdowns. I think it's been because I've had 7 years to brace for his death. That's how long it took for the cancer to take him and because I was there for most of it, I had time to come to terms with that it was going to take him.

Life lessons we learned this week:

-If the police are chasing you and you hide, they will find you, life is not a video game. Though points to this guy for creativity on the fly as who would think to look in a dryer? But he loses points because the dryer had an acrylic window in the door.

    WTFIWWY-More Than Meets The Eye

    This week's life lessons learned:

-Don't steal a tractor. Definitely don't steal one with the intent to go to a college campus to kill 2 people and then go on a vehicular rampage. GTA is not a LARP. Also: Great work in reinforcing that negative stereotype.

So I done goofed · 11:03am Feb 13th, 2021

So while working on the next chapter on A long road back, I was just barely 3000 words in. Then you wanna know what happens next? I accidentally bumped the touch pad on my laptop and clicked the close tab button, didn't get a chance to save, lost everything I had written. Completely derailed my train of thought and I nearly spiked the computer into the wall. So it's gonna be a little while on the next chapter as I've got to completely regather my thoughts.

Yikes, that had to hurt. If it will help you, you might want to exercise saving your chapter after every paragraph you complete. Trust me, I learned that the hard way when I made so much progress on a file without saving, before the program decided to crash on me.

Also, make sure you keep your cursor well away from any button that could exit or close the page in any way.

Just some friendly advice, please don't take this personally.

I remember when that happened to me back in July of last year.

Completely destroyed my motivation for writing for a while...
