    This week's life lessons learned:

-Don't use your cell phone while driving. Especially don't do so while on a zoom call to the court room where there is a criminal case going on for you driving with a suspended license, that is what lawyers call self-incrimination.

It's been a year this month since my father passed

It's been...odd. I've not been a ball of volatile emotions or having emotional breakdowns. I think it's been because I've had 7 years to brace for his death. That's how long it took for the cancer to take him and because I was there for most of it, I had time to come to terms with that it was going to take him.

Spooky eclipse prophesies · 2:43pm May 19th

When I see these megachurch end times "prophets"(more like profits, amirite?) going on about vague, spooky "prophesies", all I can think about is how they rake in millions of tax-free dollars every year while ignoring how Jesus repeatedly spoke out against accruing wealth. Now why do they go on and on about vague, spooky prophecies? Simple. Fear-mongering. This is just the old "The Red are coming!" Cold War schtick to get people to buy government bonds or support a war or whatever wrapped up in some shiny new paper so they can scare their audiences into buying whatever crap book or garbage product so they can buy a shiny, brand new Gulfstream jet or pay the latest woman who they had an extramarital affair with and got pregnant obscene amounts of money to keep them quiet and get them an abortion.
