Equestria at War Update - The Way of Fire (2.2)

Hey there everybody! I've emerged from the darkness to help spread the news about another project that I'm working on. As I've mentioned in the past, in addition to being a fimfic author, I'm also a senior writer on the Hearts of Iron 4 mod, Equestria at War (discord link here), which is a fun (and sometimes very time consuming) volunteer project to dedicate

Equestria at War: Shores of Zebrica

Hey hey people, been a while hasn't it? Yeah, it's ya boy with another one of those "drop off the face of the earth and then post a blog post out of the blue" moments. At least they only last a couple of months (usually) right?

A Short Statement · 5:51am Jan 7th, 2021

What happened today in Washington, DC is not right.

The storming of the Capitol building was not right.

The inciting of violence by our own president was not right.

If you support it, you are not right.

To those people, please fuck off; I don't want to entertain your sick, twisted, deluded fantasies.

Unfollow.

Piss off.

And have a shitty day.

The number of people supporting those actions today frankly has me worried. I saw enough of this shit in the Army. I thought I was doing all that so it wouldn't happen here?

Amen and thank you, 24.

🥂a toast to your health 24.

This was literally insurrection. The fact an (supposedly 2) elected member of the house was in the crowd that stormed the building is inexcusable.
At least according to twitter

2 pipe bombs and molotovs found
2 pipe bombs and a cooler of molotovs found

is it good? No.
was it right? fuck no as far as I know 4 people lost there lives.
I dont care who started it. what cult actually did it. its was very wrong and a disgrace.
That those responsible should be brought to justice.
But it rattled the career politicians echo chamber.
I hope this is the wake up call they understand that they should stop playing games with the people they are meant to represent.
This country cant take much more of this. Any of this shit from any side.
I fear for what tomorrow has in store for us as a people.
welcome to 2021 folks it only goes downhill from here.

p.s to whomever stole the podium that is funny I hope you go to jail for it but it made me giggle

Hear, hear.
More well wishes from Down Under.

For real, be thankful that you Yanks live in a country with a strong enough constitution to hold this tyrant at bay.

For we have seen this behaviour in leaders of less fortunate countries. Countries that fall in step to become despots.

An administration becomes a regime. This is how it happens. Feel very fortunate the lawmakers and written constitutions of your nation held this back. Amen to that.

The inciting of violence by our own president was not right.

Trump was the one that told people to stop, that said no to the protests. The violence was incited by the refusal of big politicians to acknowledge unfairness in the government.

You are misinformed.

Trump headlined the insurrectionists' rally in DC yesterday morning, appearing in person to rile them up by calling the election results "bullshit" (his word, not me summarizing) and promising to march alongside them to the Capitol. He then immediately left and went back to the White House, while his supporters did... exactly the thing he had encouraged them to do just then.

None of this is in dispute, and all of it was broadcast live on multiple platforms.

This riot was incited by Trump crying wolf for two months straight following the election. It was incited by Trump getting his cronies and allies to go along with his baseless claims of fraud. It was incited by Trump riling up his base and telling them the election was stolen, even when it wasn't. And it was incited that very morning when he told his supporters that weakness will never take back this country and urged them to march to the Capitol building. He delayed deploying the national guard once the building was stormed; VP Pence had to do that. Even his video asking for peace was bookended by claims of fraud in the beginning and an implicit statement of support for what his people were doing in the end. His twitter account was locked because he claimed "that's what you get when you steal an election from the people" (paraphrasing a bit here).

In short, he was the one responsible for this. He spent most of 2020, and especially the last two months, setting the stage. Pretending otherwise at this point is an exercise in mental gymnastics to protect an authoritarian demagogue.

You know you f***** up when Mike "zap the gays" Pence is the sensible one.

I spent all of yesterday afternoon and night so angry that my jaw hurts from trying not to scream and gnash my teeth. I was flat out vibrating out of my skin while trying to run my testing, I was so mad.

I'm still angry and can barely focus on work.

Well said.

5430736 particularly this part.

Wanna see something really sad and stupid? Check out the little red and green numbers on these comments. At least 3 of your followers definitely supported this shit.

Don't worry, I've lost 5 followers since I posted this.

Good riddance, I say.

I honestly agree with you, this shouldn't have happened at all.

There's a fine line between protesting peacefully and rioting, and unfortunately, those guys went over that line.

I know I'm a few years late but I just wanted to say that as a conservative I condem all riots. I condem the one that happened on January 6th and the previous ones that happened the summer before. Does this mean that you can't tolerate conservatives?I deserve to enjoy this site as a form of escapism from the things happening in this world. That's why I don't talk politics on this site very often, I get enough of that on the news and in real life. Thanks for hearing me out.
