An Explanation...

This has been some time in the making, I must say. I don't know if anyone will even see this. An explanation for my stories on hiatus and/or cancelled. I've been struggling with work, mental health and writers' block for quite a while now. Nobody's fault but my own. My first two stories are, frankly, hot garbage. Steaming, flaming piles of it. Truly it all started when I entered a relationship that... Didn't pan out, and it severely impacted my mental health and willingness/ability to write, since that was a common interest we shared and what happened between us kind of temporarily ruined it for me. That, and my writing skill has actually developed quite a bit since my first few stories here. I've improved immensely (I think). Marl is doing his own thing now, and while we're still friends, we don't write together. Which is fine of course, we all have our hobbies. Anyway, with my better skill comes better standards, and I think you can see in my latest story, the writing gradually improves as the chapters go on. While good, it's also not consistent. That, and the image hosting site I was using went down so I need to get around to sorting that out... At some point. I'm also still not brilliant at detailing environments, I'm much better at dialogue and characters, but I am working on improving more and more. I'm back to writing now and managed to publish a story on Archive Of Our Own, a Mass Effect story in fact, to basically get my writing shoes back on and test the waters. I've also learned to finish stories before attempting to publish them, since there's far less pressure for me, and you guys can know you're getting a complete experience.

I'm so sorry that most of my stories here haven't really been well planned out and they're indefinitely on hiatus due to that fact, it's entirely my fault, mainly due to inexperience. I might publish some of my 'just for fun' stuff at some point, with the understanding they're one-shot chapters I sporadically add to/work on, to at least add something to the story mix, although a lot of it isn't really MLP related... I know a lot of you (for some reason) enjoy my earlier works, but I guess masochism is a thing xD. We all start somewhere, and those were what I started with.

One thing in particular I've been working on is an OC of mine, called Wyatt (a human OC obviously) a character I feel is quite dynamic, who I've worked on for years. I mainly use him in RP, but I've also been writing with him, and I've even got some art! He's in my ME story over on AO3, and I've been slowly working on an MLP story with him in, but it's slow going and I'm not really satisfied with how it's developing... I might do some smaller stories with him first to get the ball rolling. He's got an extensive background, although it's mainly crossover stuff, it's more to highlight his character and such. I've got like a 23,000 word background telling of events that happened during his life and it's only really setup. I know MLP as we've known it has ended, and a new generation is beginning (not a fan personally), but I still love this community and it's creativity and I hope it doesn't die down with the show ended. I'm not great at ending things, including stories, and it's a weakness, since ending a part 1 gives time to work on a part 2 instead of continuing indefinitely. Like this blog. >.>

To close, I'm not sure if I'll publish here much if at all, but I will try. I tend to take some elements (maybe too much?) from other stories because their ideas fascinate me and I want to try and give them my own twist, so apologies for that.
