'The Scarab Archives' Catch-Up... and BABY #2 GENDER/NAME REVEAL! · 6:42am Sep 3rd, 2020
Despite enormous creative set-backs, edge-of-your-seat deadlines, and various other issues, the first season of 'the Scarab Archives' has come to a successful close. While we're no runaway hit, we at Lazarus Entertainment and incredibly pleased with the 60 or so listeners we have on Spotify and recognize that everyone has to start somewhere.
For those who wish to follow, here's Episodes 5-10!
Episode 5: the Ukulele
A pitch black comedy in which intern Isabella Phthalo contends with a murderous musical instrument.
Episode 6: the Ring
Dr. East examines an old piece of jewelry that might have its origins in ancient mythology.
Episode 7: the Floppy Disk
Dr. East takes a look at an old piece of technology that might not be what it seems. At episode's end, East receives a phone call that changes everything.
(During the development of Episode 7, an integral member of the creative team up and quit to focus more on her taxing responsibilities of getting high and complaining about how hard everything is. No, I'm not bitter.)
Episode 8: the Skeleton
With Dr. East on leave, research assistant Hadley Clarke fills in at the Archives to log in a new item... and has her first encounter with the unexplainable.
Episode 9: the Bell
Dr. East returns to the Archives to examine a ship's bell that may have the interesting ability to repel evil.
Episode 10: the Teeth
Dr. East and Hadley Clarke come face to face for the first time... and something unspeakable invades the Archives in order to introduce itself.
Episode 10 is incredible for the sound-work alone. I recommend it for that, even if you have no interest in the rest of the series.
And that's it for Season 1! We're on hiatus until the end of October, when Season 2 will kick-off.
And, of course, the most important news...
