If Season 9's premiere had happened before pony pov series had come and gone... Nightmare Nhilis (Diamond Tiara) would have done her best to follow shot-per-shot Sombra's entire attack and scheme in that episode (and assuming her adult appearance), BRUTE FORCING the narrative so the heroes WOULD kill her because she was now taking Sombra's place in the narrative, basically taking full advantage of canon for her own 'suicide by cop' scheme.

Tell her the only reason Cozy Glow ever came into existence was Diamond Tiara's reformation. And cooly point out her lack of an origin, a back story, etc, and how flimsy and hollow her own existence is.
Would this take place between the rumors and the battle in the hedge maze or replace one of them entirely?

So after everything was meant to be over, even after Rarity’s sacrifice and Discord being gone, she would have attacked Canterlot and Ponyville (The Crystal Empire has yet to return) again as a redeemed Alicorn like Princess Gaia?
Forget simply dragging out the ending due to the extra length, would the ending itself have changed?
Is this before or after the fight with Havoc’s avatar?

Uh. No.
This would have happened and likely replaced Discord's grandiose finale he originally went with. With Discord being barely able to control her at that point, and 'control' as in her respecting his seniority over her, not control as in mind control as she'd proceed to do with filling everyone with despair, and the mane six in that verse sick to death of this tactic.

Yeah, in hindsight it's better that you didn't had Season 9 premiere to influence you. Because:
1) It would have dragged out the final arc, which already had the Rumors, the hedge maze battle and showdown with Paxphobia.
2) Rarity's sacrifice would have been rendered useless.
3) This pretty much goes against one of the themes of the POV series, which is "Earn your happy ending". Having her pull a Season 9 Sombra during her recovery and attack Canterlot and Ponyville after multiple attacks would have ensured that even if she was spared death, she will be a statue and/or be sent to Tartarus, which was what she was going for anyway. Even if the heroes' spared her again with no punishment, I don't know if she would just give up on "Suicide by cop" or try again anyway.
What gave you this idea to use FIM's Season 9 premiere? POV's narrative is perfectly fine on it's own.
Given your comment about DT replacing Sombra, I take it that in POV, Sombra would be redeemed during the "Siege of the Crystal Empire"?

It would have REPLACED the hedge maze fight, the rumors, etc.
And the guy who wanted to write Crystal Empire but never got around to it was going to have Sombra BE dead and STAY dead... He was not a fan of Siege (I'm not either, but for different reasons).

Oh that makes more sense. I got confused when I saw this answer after asking this the first time.
Having the Season 9 premiere script replace the rumors and hedge maze makes more sense. Afterwards, would the Paxphobia fight and the ending be changed?
