MericaThon 2020: Many, Many Highways to Hell (Played Here by Los Angeles) · 5:15am Jan 8th, 2020
So as some of you may know, I'd been planning on moving on Los Angeles at the end of 2019. And well, folks, wouldn't you know it, that damn year went and ended on me not even a week ago. In light of that, I'm afraid I had no choice but to do that most deplorable and un-American thing: make good on a promise. I'm moving to Los Angeles, y'all.
But, y'know, nobody ever said I had to do it quickly.
Enter the MericaThon: a 27-stop, 7000-mile long haul covering a significant majority of the continental United States and spanning from yesterday to--if all goes well--sometime in April. I'll be freelance writing along the way and should be able to manage fine financially with that (and shit, if anyone would be interested in fic commissions or whatnot, that might be doable would probably be way less taxable of an income source), but I'll also be blog-writing too, both for my own memory's sake and for family members and other folks who might care to follow along.
If you're one of said folks, right here is where I'll be putting trip updates and other musings, at least until I can afford a WordPress domain: https://mericathon.blogspot.com/ . As for fic stuff, I've got a couple speedwrite things I need to go ahead and post one of these days, and I really would like to enter Miller Minus' Student 6 contest if I'm able. Until any of those things happen/some nebulous "next time": stay golden, ponyboys and girls.
Let me know when you're finally here and I'll give you a tour!
You're wonderful

Neat. Hit me up if you come through OKC.
Have fun! Love driving cross-country, and you must really be zig-zagging.
Welcome to Taxifornia.
If you subsist on freelance writing, I hope you know that CA recently put into effect a new law that makes working as a freelancer much more difficult: https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2019-10-25/hiltzik-freelance-writers-gig-worker-law
I believe in ya!
I'll see you in February!
Maybe I'll commission a story
Have a good trip!

While I question your choice of destination, I hope you have a safe, fun, and above all, pleasantly memorable time on the road trip.
Same as many have said, except for Houston. We'll bang.
Or just, you know, hang out. Whatever. Let's not tie ourselves to a plan.
All who wander are not lost.
I hope you enjoy the journey and have much to write about your experiences. Though you have a destination and a new life to begin there, I hope this journey gives you much to see, both with the eyes and the soul.
If you make it to Georgia and have the time, we could share a story and a meal, traveler.
Take care!
Sounds like you're off to look for America. Good luck!
What are some of the places you're going to?
Good luck with your move!
Good luck!
