The Year in Preview: 2020 · 11:23pm Jan 1st, 2020
Here we are, at the start of a new decade. Just like the traditional Year in Review blog posts I do, it's time for the Year in Preview, a much shorter annual blog post where I lay out my goals for the year. I like to set some challenging goals, because making just a few easy things in my yearly goals box is no fun, and we'll see how well I'm able to accomplish them this year. So let's see what we've got:
24's 2020 Goals:
[ ] Pass 1000 followers
[ ] Publish six new stories
[ ] Participate in at least one writing contest
[ ] Write 366,000 words (1,000 words a day)
[ ] Finish the rough draft of TTM3
Not a whole lot that isn't self-explanatory. I'm creeping ever closer to a thousand followers, so that would be fantastic to finish off this year, and I'd like to get a story published every other month (or at least average it out to that) just to keep my writing going strong. I usually participate in a writing contest of some sort every year, but I completely didn't last year, so I need to get back to doing that. Now, as for the ambitious two: Writing 366,000 words would be stellar but is unlikely to be reached given how much my writing time dwindled toward the end of 2019, and if I were to accomplish that goal, it would be done in the process of finishing TTM3's rough draft. That story is likely going to be the longest in the entire serious by a significant margin; even finishing the rough draft for it in this year is going to be a big challenge, and will in all likelihood take a good part of 2021 to finish off. But we'll see how much progress we make.
How about the rest of you? Have any goals for the new years? Things you want to see or do?
Thanks for sticking with me through 2019, and I hope to see you all along for the ride here in 2020!
Ante Legionem nihil erat, et nihil erit post Legionem

Oof, I get the cut-down on writing time. I would like to finish my current long-running story and have some of the sequel out this year. Anything else is just icing on the cake, and on one wants a pile of icing, y'know?
Goals sound good.
Perhaps some more of A Rainbow Of A Different Colour?
Just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to TTM3. A friend linked me TTM1 a few months back and the whole setting really clicked with me. Book 2 is really what set the series apart though and I hope to see more as soon as possible! Keep up the good work!
