Today I want to bring you three fics. They are incomplete, but already well along, boasting around 100k words each. I've gotten to know the authors behind the fics recently and they're lovely folks. Two of the stories feature my favourite character, Scootaloo, and the last one is... weeell a bit more fetishy. These stories have gotten way too few views compared to the skill, quality, and stories involved, so I hope you'll give them a chance and spread the word. I'll try to avoid as many spoilers as possible, promise!
Scootaloo and the Cabinet of Seers by HMXTaylorLee.
A lovely Scootaloo fic that boasts huge emotions and carefully builds the world around a little filly that has had to grow up way too fast. It introduces some OC's, the Cabinet of Seers, but they are in the story to drive it forward, not to take it over. I consider it a good example of how to introduce several OC's at the same time without utterly destroying your story, and how to use OC's well in general. It has both very dark and sad moments, but also heartwarming moments, and I can't wait to see how it ends.
Reflection of Nightmares - Formerly Reflection of Eternal Darkness by ColdSpike.
This is our second Scootaloo fic, which boasts a very interesting premise: There are two Scootaloos. One is our familiar, happy, friendly little daredevil with a loving family... the other is an orphan with nothing to lose from another world where the Mane Six couldn't defeat Nightmare Moon and stuff's gone... bad. She's had to learn how to survive, once again grow faster than she should have, and done what she had to survive. She is carrying a huge emotional burden and the story builds itself wonderfully around her. It has some quite dark flashbacks with some violence in them, but they are kept brief and impactful, and are a good example of how to drive a story forward with them. Also seeing our canon Scootaloo see another version of herself can be both touching and heartbreaking. I like it very much, and hope to read more soon!

And now for something completely different and NSFW. I briefly mentioned this story in my previous blog, but it deserves another mention. This story is... different. It's Anthro, which I usually avoid. It's AU, which I avoid as well... but it works. (And not in a Todd Howard way!) It's around a teenage Scootaloo in a High School that, well, enforces corporal punishment. You might know that this here is one of my biggest fetishes. The whole story is a glorious, fetishy exhibition of spankings, at least one a chapter, with the circumstances ranging from logical to quite contrived. It's a long-runner with regular updates, and the story is picking up quite well. Fair warning, though: It starts a bit clumsy, yet improves a lot very soon. The dialogue is good, the descriptions are vivid and the more porny scenes are quite tasty.
