Twilight floated a second fritter up to her mouth when she realized the first was gone. “What is in these things?” “Mostly love. Love ‘n about three sticks of butter.”

Blast from the Past: Now 100% Less Likely to Get Me In Trouble

Hey, some of you guys remember that thing I did a long time ago, where I wrote up 50 questions about headcanon and suggested people answer them on their blogs, and then, like, everyone on the site wanted to do it, and then the site mods sent me nice but stern messages suggesting I cut that shit out because it was spamming people's feeds?

    Full Circle

Wanderer D posted a touching retrospective of his time in fandom, and that made me remember the very first I ever heard of the show.

(Potential implied spoilers but maybe not? below.)

Another BronyCon Post (with an offer and a request.) · 6:03am Jul 30th, 2019

Hi there!

Well, that didn't go as planned. After a little forced hiatus due to anxiety, which I am hopefully coming out of, I need to make a BronyCon post.

First off, I'll be there (obviously) with some additional maneuverability due to staying at a hotel (I can go to parties and stay out late! Invite me!), and some subtracted maneuverability due to having the husband and kid in tow (I need to give my husband time to breathe on occasion. On the other hand, I get to see the Crusader's Clubhouse events...)

My panel is Thursday at 1:15 in the Hall of the Moon, and I have absolutely no idea if anyone will be there! But what are they gonna do, not accept my panel next year? Hahahaha...

Seriously, show up if you're at the con by then.

Chaos and Cuddles: Writing About Children and Families
Join a group of parents and fanfic authors as they discuss practical advice on capturing the different facets of children, parents, and families in your stories.

There will also be copies of Lost Time available at the BronyCon bookstore. I... don't know much more than that, because I have been a flake while RBDash47 and Aquaman have been awesome. But I do know that I am happy to sign anything you stick in front of me (though if you want words with it, warn me in advance. I know from experience that when put on the spot I stare as if confused by the concept using language to communicate ideas.)

And finally, I have an offer and a request for help.

The offer is, I will be driving up Thursday morning (arriving by 11:30 AM.) I will be passing a number of Walmarts, grocery stores, convenience stores, and even liquor stores, and without a doubt I'll need to stop at or near a few of them. So if you get in Wednesday night or Thursday morning and find you've forgotten something, or that con/hotel/inner city prices are scary, hit me up. I'm happy to pick up odds and ends for folks. (Personally, I recommend a box of granola bars. Eat one whenever you find yourself thinking "$6 for mediocre chicken strips isn't really that bad..." then go find real food.)

The request is, if anyone happens to be staying at the Hyatt in a room with a fridge, and you have space for a lunch bag containing some yogurt and meat and cheese and milk, please please let me know? I hate to pay Baltimore prices for stuff like that as needed for Trixie, but it's not really worth keeping a cooler for just a handful of things. I'm happy to be flexible about retrieving stuff, and I'd be super grateful!

And of course, if you really want to make sure we hang out, drop me a PM and we'll set a time and place (as a reminder, if we are indoors there's a good chance I can't hear you, even if I appear to be engaged in the conversation. )

I look forward to saying hi once again!

You're doing that panel with BlazzingInferno and Epic Yarn, right? I intend to go to that one!

Yay, we have an audience!

Can I pay you to buy booze?

5096449
Probably! PM me to talk details. If you let me know what you need before Wednesday I'll try to get it tax free in Delaware. (I have a lot of running around to do and might not get up there, but it's not that far out of the way.)

[checks schedule]
Oh, hah! Looks like this time I've found something I want to attend without a scheduling conflict! :D
...On the schedule, at least...

I'm not in the Hyatt at all, though, so can't help you with that other thing. Good luck.

I can second the granola bar recommendation. Clif bars have gotten me through every convention I've attended.

Looking forward to seeing you!

I'm staying at the Hyatt. if we get a fridge, it won't be a problem!

Looking forward to seeing you again!

Hope you enjoy yourself, bud

I'm at the Hyatt, but, again, not until Friday.

So good to hear you'll be there! :D

I'm incredibly bummed out that I won't arrive in time to see the Cuddles and Chaos panel, because that was at the top of the list for me personally. Are the panels usually recorded or transcribed at all? If not, no worries... I really hope it goes well and I'm excited to hopefully get a copy of Lost Time and have it signed. :)

I've got a bunch of stuff to do with some friends, but I should be free to come to the panel, so I'll try. Sorry I can't help with the fridge issue, not in Hyatt

The panels are usually recorded and posted on youtube, I think? At least they used to be. I just personally want to die of embarrassment every time I think of my recorded panels, so I never checked to see if they were still doing it.:twilightblush:

Echoing that it's a bummer they frontloaded you at the very beginning of the con; if I am onsite by then, I expect I'll be dealing with merch. =(

Regarding

There will also be copies of Lost Time available at the BronyCon bookstore. I... don't know much more than that, because I have been a flake while RBDash47 and Aquaman have been awesome.

Lost Time prints will be available to purchase at booth 513, the Golden Oaks Bookstore, in the vendor hall; paperbacks are $10, hardbacks are $20. If they sell out, you can't make it to the con, or you can make it to the con but don't have room or money for books, they will also be available after the con direct from Lulu via ponyfeatherpublishing.com.

I'll be there!

And I second haze on the use of our fridge. We'll be able to let you know tomorrow. ^.^

Sounds like a good panel. I'll look forward to it!

yay, see you there! Yarn and I are probably hot-footing it to the con straight from the airport on Thursday. It'll be… an experience :pinkiecrazy:

If you get a chance, I forgot to pack party hats. Like the pointy birthday dunce caps, y'know. If you could find one or two of those, if it's not too much bother, that would be awesome.

5097006
...I have some. Just hosted Trixie's fifth birthday party last Saturday. They're yours. (Plain one-color ones, 2 blue, 2 pink, 1 red, and 1 yellow.)

(BTW, my husband got a hole in his Admiral Biscut shirt, and it is seriously one of his favorite pieces of clothing. If you have them this year, and have a 3X, he would really, really love a replacement.)

I do have more shirts!

And Yay birthday hats!

5097038
Oh also, I apparently forgot to pack conditioner for my glorious silken hair. If you have an extra bottle, that would be fantastic (I normally just use the cheap Sauve), and save me from having to request a hundred little bottles from the front desk.
Never mind, I found it. Packed it in the wrong bag.

Also also, if you still need fridge space, I'm at the Hyatt as well and have some space.

Look forward to picking up Lost Time!

Look forward to seeing you!

If you haven't worked fridge space out yet and your Hyatt plans fall through, I'm in a suite at the Brookshire and we have an empty fridge, but it's a few blocks away.

I didn't get to catch you at the con since it was so busy, but I picked up a copy of Lost Time anyway. I hope you had a nice time while you were there!
