    Glimpses 2 - Now Complete

Though it was a day late, hopefully, it's not a dollar short. I've posted the final chapter of Glimpses 2! I hope everyone enjoys the last chapter and enjoyed the story as I whole. I would also like to thank everyone that submitted suggestions to my blog about a month ago. The anthology would not have been nearly as interesting without your input!

The Golden Oaks Bookstore: How many books should I stock, Y'all? · 5:26pm Jun 11th, 2019

Bronycon draws ever closers, and I've been working hard to prepare 2 of the anthologies that were the highest voted from the last pole I did. In case I never confirmed the results, the winning anthologies were:

- The Life and Times of Nyx (Past Sins Sequel Anthology)
- Face The Dark (The Dark Story Anthology)

Both books are well on their way to being completed. Both have been given a fresh editing pass, are getting their text set, and have new art being made for illustrations and cover art. They are really turning out great, in my personal opinion. Also, for the convention, I'll be ordering a stack of Past Sins copies from the Ministry of Image! Still, as we get closer to the big event, one question that remains to be answered is this:
How many copies of the books I'll be offering should I stock at the Golden Oaks Bookstore at Bronycon?

To help answer this question, RBDash47 has been an awesome person and has put together a poll that contains most of the different stories that will be offered at the bookstore's booth in the vendor hall. So, if you can spare a moment, please fill out a response to RBDash47 Golden Oaks Bookstore Inventory survey. You can read more about it as his own blog on the subject. The survey will run for about a week.

This survey will help inform me and other authors how many copies we should print of our respective books, so if you want to take one of those anthologies home with you at Bronycon, please take a moment to fill out the survey. To reiterate, here are the links and details again:

Survey ends in about a week.

Hope to see your responses!

P.S. I hope Aquaman doesn't mind me mimicking his blog post title structure again. :pinkiehappy:

P.S.S. Those taking the survey may notice that the anthologies from me are priced a bit higher than others. I can't speak for why other authors priced there's the way they did, but I can explain my pricing at the very least.

Past Sins ($45) - This price is largely to cover the fact these books are coming from Russia with love. The Ministry of Image's 3rd Edition of Past Sins is a beautiful book with per-chapter illustrations. But still, ordering and shipping from Russia to the US isn't cheap. Still, this is cheaper than if you tried to buy the book online.

The Life And Times of Nyx ($35) - This anthology will be longer than Past Sins itself at +220k words, which means the base printing price is already pretty high. On top of that, I commissioned the illustrators who did some of the art for the Ministry of Image's Past Sins book to do brand new illustrations and cover art. That is 8 illustrations (all brand new) and full case-wrap cover art. The stories have also been given a fresh, dedicated editing pass to clean up the text for all the stories. (The edits from this pass will be propagated to Fimfiction after Bronycon.)

Face The Dark Anthology ($35) - Again, this is a long anthology at ~200k words. On top of that, I reached out to SilFoe, the artist behind the cover art for Into The Depths and From The Depths, to do new art pieces for Sunset Slayer and Morsel of Truth as well as to do custom cover art. So this book will have 4 illustrations (2 which will be brand new) and full case-wrap cover art. The stories have also been given a fresh, dedicated editing pass to clean up the text for all the stories. (The edits from this pass will be propagated to Fimfiction after Bronycon.)

So yeah, these prices are mostly there to cover the costs of the actual printing, the shipping, and the money I've invested to make these anthologies as great as they can be.

P.S.S.S. I will be looking at ways of making the books available post Bronycon, but I can't prioritize sorting that out right now.

I'd love to be able to have every part of Past Sins in physical form someday. It's such a good series that is near and dear to my heart.

Tough to say. For each book I bring I was gonna bring around 4 each? I dunno.

Then again mine are not hard covers

Likewise. It cost me a pretty penny to acquire my Second Edition copy of Past Sins, and while i would love to acquire a physical copy of the sequel anthology to go with it; attending Bronycon is flatly beyond my means.

Do you plan to write a new fanfic?

Where can I get The Life and Times of Nyx? I know I won't be able to come to Bronycon, but I'd still like to have it!

I will be trying to make the books available somehow post-Bronycon.

Excellent, thank you.

I feel stupid for saying this but...I was not aware of the existence of The Life and Times of Nyx or Face the Dark. I would definitely pick up both!

Definitely, I would love copies of your stories.

I've got your most recent print of 'past sins' in hardcover, so I would love to get the other released works

I'd love to get the Life and Times of Nyx if you make it available post! I probably wont be able to make it to Bronycon.
