Imperius

Just a fan of the show. Wouldn't call myself a brony, but I like it enough to write about it.

    Edit to Morgoth

Made a small edit to chapter one of MiE, fixed a little inconstancy that a reader pointed out in the conversation between Eru and Morgoth. Nothing big, just cut a few lines and added a few in place.

    Happy Anniversary To Me!

Today marks a full year since my descent into the world of spaghetti and shame that is fanfic writing. Looking back on this past year I can honestly say that these ponies have had a very significant impact on my life. I've grown as both a writer and a person, learned a few lessons worth writing to the princess about, and discovered my special talent.
    Yes, it's writing you dolt.

    ATTENTION PLEASE

As you may very well know (though it's more likely you have no clue, as I only just realized this myself two days ago) in six days will be the one year anniversary of when I joined this site and set off down that glorious golden road which actually turned out to be yellow aluminum foil that is fanfic writing. Seriously, it crinkles like hell every single time a take a step, it's driving me

    And the Story Ends

For everyone who actually read Emperor's Child in Equestria, at the behest of all the people who kept asking me how it ended, I finally decided to write out a summary of the events leading up from where I left out at. Here you go.

A lot of people seem to like Emperor's Child, but my question to you all is this. What is it you find so enjoyable about the story? I understand a lot of you like because it's funny, but I'd really love specifics here. Help me write this story better. What, specifically, do you guys like about it?

This story is amazing because it is absolutely hilarious, well-written (even if it stretches 40k canon a little), the characters are well-developed and pretty believable, the plot is engaging, and many other things. I do miss the illustrations that were in the earlier chapters, though that is literally my only complaint. This has got to be one of my favorite stories I've read, period. Plus the dialogue. Don't even get me started.

not sure i just like it .

To me it seems more realistic compared to canon Warhammer 40K if you set aside some of the goofier aspects. It's a bit easier to relate to I suppose. I like the way the Space Marines seem so bro.

It reminds me of heretical love

Okay to be frank brother in arms. I love this story because anonymous is hilarious and not funny in the haha way but in the disembowel and rape your sole I'm being awesome Charlie Sheen and tiger blood way this is all.

Its portrayal of a somewhat seamless blend between the two worlds, since everyone got over the weird factor so fast, with much more important things to do.

The story is well told, the characters are unique and entertaining, and the dialogue and inner thoughts go between serious and compelling to 'bust out laughing so hard you wake the next-door neighbors up'. The humorous parts offset the serious tones, but not to the point that the serious portions cannot be taken as such. You've pulled off a wonderful blend of comedy and unique storytelling that where one portion doesn't overshadow the other. I keep checking up on updates not only to see what will make me laugh this time, but also to see where you are going with the story. I enjoy the whole thing through and through

I can't really give pointers on how to improve the story since, to me, this story is perfect. There isn't one specific part that makes me like the story. I like it as a whole, so getting into specifics is kind of a non-option for me.

stories are likable because they are entertaining... yours is no exception

THIS.
Seriously though, that post says it all.
Without chaos anon, the comedy will be severely stunted.

"even if it stretches 40k canon a little"
Alittle. Alittle. Bwahaha!
The only thing it's missing is a squad of Grey knights turning up and then going "Aw feck it, lets save ponies!"

Since you've got the show, which everyone already knows and 40k, which most people seem to know you've got a combination where you don't really need to spend ages explaining every last bit of tech, which means you've stuck with hard, fast and random. And its good.
