Dear all,
As some of you may have noticed, the last update to Night's Favoured Child was a little while ago...
Well, okay, it was about eight weeks ago, but still. I firstly must apologise about this. Personal reasons accounted for the muse being dead inside me and motivation grounding to a halt. Coupled with studying and work (which has been alleviated for a while), this lead to a lack of writing for NFC. I shall admit that I sort of did write some other non-NFC works that remain unfinished and unpublished (but I'm considering making them public), including a one-shot side-story set after Night's Favoured Child.
The point is, I'm back on form. I've been back for the past week and a half. As such, I've written more in those days than I have in the entire eight weeks since the last update. Current chapter length (unedited and unfinished) is over 13,000 words. Nice whopper there for all of you to thank you for being so patient. I can give a deadline as well. If all goes well; early next week. If all doesn't late next week/early weekend. I'm confidently hoping for the former.
Also, I was considering whether or not I should ask this, since it might sound a little pretentious or demanding or whatever, so I won't make it a question per se - more of a statement. I've always admired the artists of this fandom and their drawings/paintings (and envied my own lack of skill in that department), and am always appreciative of fan art of any calibre. I know my story is probably not quite good or famous enough to receive such gifts, but it'd still be nice to see how something I've made may or may not inspire artists in my readership.

yes ! Btw i don't really care if you take breaks in the fic, i love it, but it's better you take time to get the right motivation when writing it and then come out with these perfect chapters we all adore.

Your story is definitely one of my favorites - I'm curious to see what you do with it! I forgive you, personally. I think your other readers do, too! We've all had problems with inspiration and life itself :)
take you'er time no one is expecting you to dish out a chapter ever week any way there many other story's out there to take up my time while i wait
yea this is one my favs next to That Fateful Night, and i draw quite well on paper. Heck if i had a drawing tablet id just scan one of my drawings and spice it up into i REAL piece of work, n just send it to yea jus to do it.........

No prob, man we all get busy and get writer's block. Glad to hear the fic isn't dead!
