In the previous blog post I told of how I deleted the story I had just put up. People seem to think it was meant to be permanent. It wasn't.
I was originally intending to shelve it for the mean-time because the unfinished product didn't seem worth my attention in light of my other commitments in life, the sub-par reception it got and the ever-present and ever-mounting desire to see NFC update.
Unfortunately, I forgot that deleting it rather than unpublishing it means that trying to get it back online violates the site rules, which is a damn shame. It was intended to be a fairly major cornerstone in the foundation of a series I've been brainstorming featuring an unstable, nascent Equestria and the dangerous, adventure-filled adolescence of Luna and Celestia. So that's a bummer.
Good news is I'll be less distracted for NFC and the time it take to finish the damn thing will let me figure out a way to circumvent the rules of the site. Must be a loophole that'll let me get the story back out there when it's ready.
So hopefully, for those few of you expressing an interest in the story, you'll see it again when it's ready.
EDIT: Spoken with Wanderer D, who's agreed to resurrect the story. It's remaining unpublished but no longer deleted.
...Or you could talk to Wanderer D who you've written with and is a mod rather than trying to break the rules.
Just a thought.
I say go with hacking and threats, seem to bring good results to get your demands fulfilled.

I never said I'd break them, just try to find a way around them. There's always ways around rules, like connections...
Would it break the rules if you included it as part of a longer work you submitted under a different title?
Yeah, I should have told you to go talk with the D about it. My bad
Okay, so does this mean the story will come back at some point fully, or what?

Yes.

Sweet. I'm also looking forward to more of NFC. Been reading that since back in the day when all I knew about FiM based fiction was Equestria Daily. Been a favorite of mine ever since I got here.
Ah, splendid.
So you wrote more pony words, published it, then deleted it? You monster! :(
This is not related to this blog post, but I noticed a typo in Night's Favored Child. The second paragraph in the chapter 'The Sky is in the Ceiling' has Inquisitor spelled as Inquisitorf. I caught that while I was rereading the story today.
I deleted a story by mistake and I'm f***ed by the rules, but WD fixed it for me.
It's actually rather remarkable how many times I've seen some variant of this in a blog post. Compassionate mods and reasonable application of policies - god I love this fandom.
Which is not to say that I want to see you distracted from updating NFC. It was the first fic I ever read here and I'm still eagerly awaiting content. I guess I'll just have to look forward to both :)
