Signal boost: Rally the troops · 1:12am Feb 3rd, 2019
Hey, everyone! If you don't live under a dang rock on this site, you more likely than not have heard of An Intricate Disguise and what he's been going through lately. If you haven't, you can read it Here and an update on the situation Here.
So, I want to help him out. Anyone of you who's glanced at my favorite story shelf will find it pretty obvious that I read lewd horse words. Hell, it's what brought me to the site in the first place! I just can't write it without failing miserably. Intricate is one of my favorite uh... mature authors, and I promised myself long ago that noone should have to go without help, so he's on my radar twice over now.
I've recieved offers for dontaions for my work in the past. I was GOING to open a ko-fi for those who like my work and just send it to Intricate and some of my other favorite authors, but I've found being upfront and honest is best.
I am blessed with a loving, tight-knit, economically stable family. I love them to the ends of the Earth for all they've done for me; I have wanted for very little in my life. I don't need any money for my work. I have a stable job, and have permission to live with my family for as long as I need. I have so many people my family has helped that my world could come crashing down and I'd probably survive on their support alone. (I'd rather not test that, though.) Others are not so lucky.
So please, the next time any of you consider asking if I take donations, send them to someone who needs it more than I do. I've personally donated to Intricate's cause, and comissioned a rather large story from him under the condition that he takes as long as he needs to write it, no deadlines. I've done all I can... except call for help. So I'm doing just that, as I have little to no shame.
Be there for those who need it when they need it most. Today it's Intricate. Tomorrow it might be someone else, maybe someone who's never even heard of MLP. Help them, not me, until it's me who needs the help. That's how you support me. Help me support others, even if it's just a few kind words.
May the stars shine down upon you, and may luck follow wherever you lead.
Sincerely,
Ashen Brightfur
Should I mention that I haven’t heard of it because I turned my mature filter on?
My mature filter is on, I don't read that...But no one should have to struggle. I'll try to spread word too.
