Hello everyone.
I'm sure some of you might be either worried, curious as to why my productivity has been pretty much inexistent, or have since stopped goven a care in the past nine months without an update (yes, I do count because it bothers me massively).
My reasons for this have been the following:
1. University workload has been a bitch. Like honestly, I have gotten destroyed this year, assignment-wise. It's one of the main things that have prevented me from writing.
2. My laptop is likely currently failing due to decay. Battery has gone down 11k in charge efficiency from 37k to 26k mWh (that is a very significant drop in 3-4 years). Hard Drive is likely failing as well due to the unhealthy amount of bad blocks error codes I get in a row lately, and I would rather not waste time and efforts on a machine that could give way at any time.
3. Poor stress/anxiety management is the bane of my existence. To say my student job can be complicated sometimes is an understatement. When it isn't the customers I'm sick of, there are instances where my bosses and I don't see eye to eye. Of course, this leads to issues with me feeling stressed or anxious for obvious reasons. That in turn leads me to inefficiently get rid of my stress through feeding addictive tendencies. In my case: video games to the detriment of my other hobbies.
Naturally, since I love writing in general, I've dabbled in various ideas, and I have tried to make progress on Melody of the Heart whenever I could. As I mentioned before, I'm setting together a new worldbuilding experience involving griffons instead of changelings and I am rather hyped for it whenever I find time to finish it.
Melody's outline is coming to a close soon-ish. There are a lot of things I have planned for the summer and that I want to get done.
Good reasons all round. Glad to see you back!
