Spoilers: I'm not dead · 7:57am Dec 7th, 2017
So this has been a fun week.
In my last post I said I was being kept in the hospital to monitor my heart for some unknown abnormality, in addition to a possibly broken foot due to passing out thanks to severe dehydration from a particularly nasty flu.
The good news is that it turns out my heart is just fine. I apparently have a slightly different baseline heartbeat to most people, but it doesn't affect my health in any meaningful way. I am also over my flu symptoms, and only had to spend two days in the hospital. Two long, painful, needle-filled, EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE says. How they think I will ever be able to afford my medical bill is beyond me. Health care here fucking blows. It's great treatment, but two days totaled up to half of the cost of my car. Fuck me. At least I'm better now.
The bad news is that my foot is, in fact, broken. More specifically the 4th metatarsal in my left foot, which is right where your foot normally bends when you walk. Its in an air cast for at least three more weeks, possibly longer, and I'm on crutches for the time being. I've had to learn to go up and down the stairs of my apartment building very carefully. Doing anything at all is a huge pain in the ass now, though my job is thankfully pretty easy most of the time so I can sit most of the night.
I'm trying to get back into the swing of things with regard to the story, but it's difficult to stand for too long on one leg, and as such my access to a computer is limited during the hours I normally write. I'm still managing to get some typing done here and there, but for now JBtD is likely to take a little while to see an update. Hopefully I won't be a cripple for too much longer.
I wanted to say thanks to everyone who wished me well, I truly appreciate it. The hours in the hospital were long and mostly boring, so re-reading through older chapters provided some much needed entertainment. As soon as I'm back on my feet things will return to normal.

Glad you sound better. Sucks on the medical bills, thank god I live in a country where that's not the case.
Thank goodeness you have no issues with your heart.I cant imagine how painfull in both spirit and body it must be waiting the results of the tests:( Wish you a fast with no problems recovery regarding you broken leg :)

Glad it's just a broken foot. As much as that still sucks, a problem with your heart would definitely have sucked more!
Despite the extravagant medical bill costs, I'm glad you're recovering. The potential heart issue would've been very worrisome for all concerned, but thankfully it isn't; merely an individual abnormality.
All-in-all, take it easy on that foot and hopefully it manages to mend itself well.
Don’t worry about updating dude, just worry about getting better. Hope it all turns out okay.
