I'm old and I hate change, or: the site update. · 8:43pm Jun 5th, 2017
Welp.
Fimfiction rolled out a new site update, and it has fucked up my formatting. For one thing, all previous paragraphs are now spaced out by a line. While this is fine for typical internet reading, I specifically made the formatting look like a book, ie with actual blank lines only between sections of the chapter.
Also, NOTHING IS FUCKING INDENTED ANYMORE. WHY?! WHO THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE EASIER TO READ?! GOD DAMNIT.
I don't know if these things can be changed on a per-user basis, but I haven't found a way to do so yet. Not a fan of these updates at all. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm entitled to be grouchy about change. BACK IN MY DAY WE HAD INDENTATIONS, AND WE LIKED IT THAT WAY.
Indenting is done via reader settings! You can choose double-spaced, indented, or both. Least on the story chapters, that is.
Indents vs double-spaced is client-side now. You pick which one you want in the drop-down. You can have one, the other, or even both. Everyone sees whatever version they want.

Hallelujah! Thanks for letting me know.
Only fix I know for the indentation is to manually tab each one.
_____Yeah, I hate that all my comments are no longer indented. It sucks.
If you want to force indents, and It would be a giant pain in the arse, you could use [’color=#ffffff]__[/color’] without the ‘ at the beginning of every paragraph.
Block format has seen a steady rise in popularity over the years. It honestly doesn't bother me enough to force indention in the settings, but I can see how it would many could find it off-putting.

_____Well, actually you only have to do that for the first paragraph in a story if the reader chooses to read indents (or both), unless there's something like a line break or if you're trying to create a space between paragraphs, in which case you must repeat the process.
