So, I have a new story coming soon! Like, in the next week or two! in fact, I should probably be finishing edits instead of announcing it, but... um... yeah...
Anyway, it is about my versions of the founders of Equestria, but while there are some details from Sun and Hearth (namely, Celestia and Smart Cookie are already a couple,) it's a perfectly fine spot to jump in.
It's a novella, so I'll probably be posting it over the course of several days. And it's a romance, so you'll remember why you followed me, though it is more straight shipping.
And getting back to Sun and Hearth is next on my list. This was a warm up to get me back in the game.

The Spirit of a Pegasus
~25,000 words; Teen (Sex,) Romance, DramaA decade after uniting the tribes and founding of the nation of Equestria, there are some fading traditions that the warrior tribe of the pegasi cling to. One of those is an honor foal for the most commendable female officers; an opportunity to bear a foal of their line while remaining counted as on duty, with full support of the tribe in its care and upbringing.
When Major Pansy is granted an honor foal, she sees it as a chance to offer the strength of her line to the future of Equestria, despite having let her service to tribe and country prevent her from ever having found a suitable mate. But she knows just the pony she wants for its father: a strong pony, a brave and skilled soldier, a wise commander, and the dearest of friends. Considering it, she may want even more from him than a sire for her foal.
But Commander Hurricane has always protected his emotions with a stony mask and an armor constructed so that nopony can pierce it. Especially not the one pony he holds above all others in his esteem: the hopeless soldier who once stood before him for discharge with the true spirit of a pegasus shining through her.
Worth noting that the sex tag is just for themes and frank discussions.
Anyway, back to editing since I'm out of ways to avoid it now!

Yay, you're back! I have to say that I'm sure your exploration of the topics outlined in the description will be fascinating, the more exciting part of this announcement is that you're going to be working on Sun and Hearth again!

Wooo bookplayer! If there's anyone holding up the train do me a favor and clock them on the head. You know, like taking forever to answer PM's and read drafts and so forth. I mean, I have no idea who would possibly do such a thing. I certainly never would. Nope. Whosoever it may be (if anyone, mind you), a hefty cinder block ought to do the trick.
Interesting. To Perytonia is likely going to take up all of my horsewords reading time for the next few months, but this'll be going on the Read Later list. And hopefully won't be waiting there for several years like some of your other stories have...
