My thoughts about writing a story. · 11:30am Sep 7th, 2017
Well it's been a while, my only story has grown a lot. Far more than any of my expectation. I mean, 71k words? That's amazing!
But I just wanted to say that I'm going blind here. When I write story I just write everything that comes into my head. No drafts, no planning, just type and see what came out. That's maybe why my story is not really popular or something, other writers who wrote amazing stories are serious and clearly devoted.
Not that I'm saying that I'm not devoted, just saying that what I'm creating here is a picture of my wild and crazy imagination. I mean, do you really think I planned for Pinkie Pie to turn into a giant orange and goes total boulder of doom on Ponyville? Of course not! It just came out of the blue when I write that story.
This is what keeps me going. The simple fact that I cannot predict how this story is going to go. The simple fact that I can enjoy this story when writing. Because just like you all I am also asking myself... 'What's gonna happen next?'
In the end, I'm just saying that writing is much more than just becoming a god-like entities who decide the fate of its subjects. It's more about creating a beautiful world and adding those cute little ponies into it. Then throw in some problems, some new characters, and just stand back watch what's gonna happen next.
To me, this is how a story is supposed to work. It is shaped not only by the writers, but also the characters of the story.
Thank you everypony so much for reading!
PS: This also means that I am up for suggestion. What kind of odd ball do you want me to throw in next? (Quickly look over at the episode lists.) DISCORD!!! Oh boy things gonna get wacky!
