(Almost) Foolproof guide to refrain from abandoning your fanfic · 11:32am Sep 10th, 2017
1. Just keep writing, just keep writing...
2. Enjoy your story when writing it.
3. If you got an idea for a chapter then just write it.
4. Writer's Block? Watch some of your favorite MLP episodes.
5. Mean comments? Don't feel so bad, not all of us makes a masterpiece in just one day.
6. Out of ideas? Scroll through the MLP episode list and wiki.
7. Down vote galore? Look at number five
8. Lost interest? Delete the chapter you're currently writing and write something different. (Only works on episodic content)
9. Need reviews and feedback? Join some groups!
10. Bored? Read someone else's story and vote them. Karma will thank you later
11. Life being cruel at you? Put your story on hiatus and get your stuff together.
Remember, no matter how bad your story is, it is still your story. It is still something that you should be proud of. Don't feel bad when people hate your story, they're still reading it anyway right?
In the end, when you felt like abandoning your story, sit back, relax and re-read your story from the beginning. Think about how much you can still put into your story, think of the possibilities. Think back to the reason why you made that fiction. Then make it happen. It is your story and it will show you just how much your writing skill has grown.
Thank you and good day everypony!
