Rebirth of the Damned chapter 153 is live... also, retcons · 8:55am May 18th, 2017

Sorry it took so long, writing many stories at the same time is time consuming... seriously, don't do that. The next two chapters will be out much sooner.

Anyway, writing this blog post to let you know of two little rectons I had made in Rebirth of the Damned. Usually I let you know through author's notes if I do something like that, like with Cadance's origin, but I figure this will be better. Anyway, those two new retcons are much smaller, basically changed bits in chapters 62, 66, and 135. So, here there are:

It was mentioned that Zahara's pet, Nunda, was a son of the patron spirit of Jivbuti Tribe, Mngwa the Shadow Panther, one of the six Great Spirits. While it is still true that he's her son, she's no longer a Great Spirit, but rather one of the lesser spirits worshipped by that tribe. I've been thinking for some time that having two tribes with big cats as patrons seems like... a wasted opportunity to have more diversity among them.

Sea ponies 'models'. As some of you might have realized, when I introduces sea ponies, I made them resamble the sea ponies from one of the previous generations of MLP, with their tails curled up on ther bellies like sea horses look like in real life. At the same time, however, it always bothered me when I tried to imagine them swimming, everytime I did I thought that even in the water it would make more sense for them to unwrap their tails to better swim, not just when they are on the land to slither on the ground. So, after long consideration, I changed their description in the story to match their appearance in MLP comics (by "their" I mean all the verious sea dwelling ponies they throught up in there, I think at one point there was something called "orcapony"? Anyway, they're all sea ponies. Besides that kelpie, that's clearly a water elemental), so now they more or less look like this:

So, overall, I don't think those are that big of retcons. You don't even need to go back to those chapters, I literally changed only one sentence in each.
