Art by Yakovlev-lad

I thought this was a great picture. Yakovlev, and NCMares are my all time favorite MLP artists. Just fantastic works of art that they both do, I am highly envious of them both and want to have time to be able to dedicate to my artistic crafts.

But that is a different story. For now, you'll all be pleased to hear that Autumnschild has Chapter 4 of ER251 in his hands. It was the biggest pain in the butt to write! I think I've been saying that about these last few chapters, and that is mostly because Chapters 1-4 are what I would call "establishment" chapters where the characters and their individual story lines are introduced. The difficulty I have with them is presenting them and the start of their journey correctly. Getting the journey to start is the hardest for me, everything else can be easy, but it's still framing events correctly that trip me up. I'm in an author/editor mode when I'm working and will sometimes rewrite a paragraph 3 or 4 times before going back to the original version, which is exactly what happened with chapter 4 and why it's taken so damn long.

My original intent was to wait until Chapter 6 or 7 was in Autumnschild's hands before updating ER251. I want to get this story updating more regularly and I feel like having a bufferzone/gap will help while I work on increasing my writing skills, such as stop rewriting every other sentence, and organize part of my day specifically for writing.

I have started my Master's degree as well, which is online. It will take time up, but it will also force me to organize and take routine breaks. During those break times or down times, I want to write or draw. I still have some other personal matters to take care of, but I am utterly confident that everything is going to be great and progress at a much better pace than before. It will help bring order to my life, and it is very much needed.

Oh, I was thinking of doing some review blogs, but not totally sure about it. I feel like the regular writing could help with my story writing skills. But it seems like a gimmick a lot of people on doing these days and I feel it only works best if you are part of a reviewing group, or your name carries weight. Thoughts?

Great news, hoping for many updates this year!

Personally I think reviews should be for the author not the reading audience, but recommendations are fine if you feel like sharing stories you've read.

4492680 Aye, this story definitely deserves a finish.
