The day has finally come, my Exalted 3rd Edition Ultra-Deluxe edition book has arrived!
Such a nice, dark leather.
I've had the PDF for a while, of course, but it's nice to have the physical copy in my hands. Also, it's shiny.
The gold-foil trim caused some of the pages to stick together a little when I was flipping through it, but it's all better now.
Now I just need to make a Twilight case Solar character who uses a book as a bludgeoning weapon.
It says:
"Come, oh new era. This is the tale of the
Exalted. Here lies the power of Unconquered Sun, the
right to rule Creation. All glories be to those
who have trusted us to the end and have waited
thousands of years (now?) for moment of triumph and (glory?)."
Two words have questionable translations, but you've got the gist of it. 
That is freaking gorgeous. Old Realm doesn't look right in any color but gold.
Honestly, I prefer silver. Terrifying Argent Pride, yo :P
But that does look seriously snazzy. I can't wait 'til mine arrives. Ex3 has been disappointing in some ways, but certainly much better (both in the sense of less problems and in that the problems it has are easier to fix), and hopefully now with Holden and Hatewheel out the door, the release schedule will pick up and the public relations will improve. Minton and Vance have certainly been some of the most mellow writers in the lines publishing history, so here's hoping!
I'm a bit discouraged at how the Realm, Arms, and Dragonblooded have leapt all the way back to First draft this week, but im cautiously optimistic overall.
4483586 It's sadly inevitable for a changeover in developers.
Minton and Vance are pretty great picks, I think, but they'll need a bit of time to find their feet as devs. Especially given neither have held the role before.

Honestly at this point I have to say a pack of hobos would be better line developers then Holden and Hatewheel.
Still only the second most overdue and in general fucked up Kickstarter I've ever backed.
